Not so fast there blue guy. While Sega still thinks it's fine to release your new adventure on the PS2 & the Wii this week, they think otherwise on your 360 and PS3 releases.
And while your new release date on the Xbox 360 is November 24th, you're going to have to wait until sometime in December to see yourself on the PS3. In fact, that's all we're told on the PS3 release. Just...December. That's it.

A delay for this is a good idea on Sega's part. The Wii and PS2 aren't getting Left 4 Dead, so this will help things a bit. I'd even grab the new Tomb Raider over this, so having something to check out next week is fine by me. And yeah, I'm looking forward to it...so there.

What is the word on this game, I have sort of stopped caring as I'm tired of being disappointed. Does it seem like it might be alright?

The sonic parts look pretty good. The unleashed parts...not so much.

Until Sega smartens up and quits with the failed alter ego formula I refuse to support Sonic.
Some of the vids are looking pretty good, but get back to basics with what worked and made Sonic so great so long ago. Learn from history please, miss the old Sonic.

Seeing as they are very reluctant to show stuff from the dreaded werehog thing I'm expecting nothing from this. Still can't be as bad as the last outing that's for sure.
Don't think L4D is a threat though. Different audience.

How are they able to continue making terrible Sonic games? At this point, who is dumb enough to buy anything in this franchise?

Thats what gets me, eventually you would think they would have learned, I mean how much life can any Franchise have. Boggles my mind if I think about it too hard, then I realize its Sega. Single tear.

Sonic Unleashed was such a good opportunity, which was (of course) wasted.

I really hope they're just cleaning up the frame rate. Last I saw it, there were points where it dropped to 2fps.

Toys R Us is giving away a Sonic action figure with preorder, not sure if other places are as well.
Also, as a Sonic fan (SA1 and 2 are excellent), I'm looking forward to this. Although, I'm hoping for less Rush-style gameplay and more platforming. Although, Rush Adventure really added in the Adventure gameplay mechanic.

I was sort of interested in this game at first, as the first videos showed a 2D sidescrolling view. The more I see, the worse it looks.

is this game going to be downloadable?

Burnout is... but sorry if that was a stupid question.

I wish they would lay Sonic to rest. Leave him to nostalgia where he belongs.

I would be interested in a good Sonic game, and I'm buying L4D.
Honestly, I don't see why it is so hard to make a good 3D Sonic game. Even with the speedy gameplay, you can lift a lot from Super Mario 64. One key flaw in all 3D Sonic games to date is that they have very restrictive environments... I don't see why that has to be the case. Wouldn't large, open areas be better for Sonic?

Oh of course. if it was good I could see it as a game a gamer could want, but seeing as how Sonic has been raped into the ground I can't see anyone really picking this up on releaseday until it gets stellar reviews.
I think anyone here could make a better 3D Sonic game than team Sonic at the moment. Lose the bottomless pits, lose the gimmicks, lose the love interests, lose the lame adventure parts, etc, bang, better than the crap they pushed out the last time. The Werehog thing and the "real" settings (fuck Greece in a Sonic game, I want Greenhill Zone) totally killed all hope for me already.

Here's the answer: make a 2.5D Sonic game for all the download services. Enough of 3D and werehogs.

So basically make Sonic Rush downloadable? I mean obviously loose the second storyline with what's her name and replace it with more Sonic and feature Knuckles and Tales more as well. Cause I'd play that.

For the record, the 360 game is out. At least at my store.
