Gamersyde (http://www.gamersyde.com/stream_9446_en.html) spoke to Ubisoft producer Ben Mattes about the upcoming Prince of Persia, in particular about their plans for downloadable content. "The intention is to do downloadable content that adds significant value, so I don't think you'll see downloadable content of a new skin or a new weapon or something like that.
"If we're going to do it, it's going to be a new story, a new experience, maybe a prequel, maybe a sequel - we're going to do something that really offers a lot of value for the player. In terms of when: sometime next year - I'm not sure of exactly when, it's all still in discussion."
It almost sounds like they're discussing Valve's approach to Half-Life 2's sequels. Rather than releasing a retail sequel, they did (or are planning to do) a series of smaller downloadable sequels.
Mattes also said the game should run 12-18 hours for players who run straight through, and 18-24 hours for explorers and completists.
