One of the aspects of the video gaming market that I really don't like is the fact that they never directly inform us if it has subtitles of any style/kind.
Sooo, here I am, relying on you faithful gamers to let all of us know which one of those newly released games has subtitles and which does not.
Mass Effect
Assassin's Creed
Myst IV: Revelation
Left 4 Dead
Grand Theft Auto, the newest one
Fallout 3 (I'm pretty sure this one has subtitle)
Dead Space
Saint Row 2
Tomb Raider: Underworld
X3: Reunion 2.0
World of Goo (Watch the trailer, worth the time)
The Witcher: Enhanced version
Spore
Sins of a Solar Empire
The Settlers: Rise of an Empire
Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords — Game of the Year Edition
Bully: Scholarship Edition
Guess that would do for now.
Thanks in advance!

I can personally vouch for Mass Effect, Myst 4, and The Witcher.
No offense, but Google could probably give you the answer for 99% of these.

Fallout 3 has subtitles, but I don't think Dead Space does. I never really gave this much thought, but since I see you're deaf, it must be a royal pain in the ass to figure out which games you can buy.

L4D has captions.
World of Goo, You don't need sound to play it.
Bully has subtitles
Spore, don't need sound to play it.
GTA4 You must play this one with subtitles, even if you can hear, freaking patois (it has subtitles).

I've spend time Googling games (after all, I have to sometimes anyways). But nothing replaces direct human answers, after all that is what this CoG gaming site is for. ;)
And thanks to all the guys who gave an answer for those games. I appreciate it.

Grand Theft Auto IV - yes
Dead Space - No.
Edit: I have Saints Row 2...not sure since I didn't play it very long. I'll check if no one answers on that one...

I highly recommend Sins of a Solar Empire. Fantastic game. You really don't need sound to play it either. I'm sure it would be a little more difficult without sound cues, but still entirely doable.

World of Goo - Has signs telling you all you need to do. The cinematic aspects aren't important.
Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords — Game of the Year Edition
Should be fine, I can't check since I'd need to reinstall it but I remember most of it being read rather than heard. Text isn't that important either, just assume every other race is out to kill you :)

Warhammer Online can be included in this list.

Fallout, The Witcher, and Spore all Have Subtitles. The Witcher Enhanced has multiple Language subtitles.
Sins of a Solar Empire has no dialog, all of the tutorials are in text. World of Goo, Is also dialog free, all text instructions(you can even grab a demo off of Steam).

They have a pretty good rating system. I was surprised to see, and see that I had not noticed, how many games only close caption cutscenes and dialog trees but not casual NPC speech(that could be Brutal in Fallout 3 or Oblivion as that can be a cue to find a quest).

Hold on, I'm pretty sure Dead space does.
Just checked - yeah, it does. Well, the PC version, anyway. In the audio section of the options.

So they finally updated deafgamer website with more stuff. For a while they didn't, which is why I forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me. ;)

Imagine how tough Mass Effect would be without subtitles!

Crysis and Crysis:Warhead (Warhead has it on by default) both have subtitles, but no closed captioning (i.e. sound effects)

I usually turn on all subtitles anyway. I read much faster then the lines are spoken.

It really sucks that WideScreen Gaming is updated with more regularity. Games are not very friendly to people with hearing or visual impairments. I remember people mentioning how they cannot play most puzzle games due to being color blind.
