This year it's going to be held on October 1st (http://www.24hourcomicsday.com/). I'm still trying to nail down a location for me and a group of friends to crash for 24 hours. Our city library hosted it one year and some of the local comic shops have done it in the past by mums the word.

Regardless I'm going to give it a shot and probably post it over to my art blog (http://disciplineorlack.blogspot.com). I'm going to try going the Sketchbook Pro on iPad route that I saw another artist (http://www.flickr.com/photos/mrblank/sets/72157625112223204/detail/) run with one year.

Dead Roy: Apocalypse 01 (http://www.flickr.com/photos/mrblank/5058682539/) by MrBlank (Josh Nichols) (http://www.flickr.com/people/mrblank/), on Flickr

Any other CoGger artists giving it a go?

I've always wanted to try this but I would fail so hard. I'm a notoriously slow artist, and spend way too much time trying to perfect sketches, let alone inking.

Good Luck Lord Don.

Never heard of it before. It'd be nice to get some art practice in and I do my best work when I set aside large chunks of time. Though since I have no art friends, I'd be flying solo. I've also never been much of a cartoonist, nor story writer.

Looks like Burbank is the closest thing to me with any kind of event happening...that's only about an hour drive. Tempting, very tempting.

Damn, I didn't think finding a location would be as hard as it has proven to be. We may just end up hitting a public library and then crashing someones house overnight. WTF Utah? You usually eat this up.

As much as I want to try this, if I'm going to spend an entire day drawing I really should attack the backlog of projects I have. I'll be making stuff that day, probably work in at least one of those short comic ideas from the thread I started.

Another rejection from a comic store. This seems like a no-brainer to garner support for your brick and mortar store. *sigh*

Aaaand all my friends bailed too. Looks like I'll be going the lonely route, hooking up with others on the intarwebs this year.
