I am going to my buddies house this weekend for some system link play and was wondering... how? We both have never system linked but we both have 360 wireless connectors and searching on xbox.com, the site is very vague on how to use it other than saying you can use it to system link... Any help would be appreciated.....

I think you need a crossover cable.

isnt adhoc only for wifi?
crossover cable will let you link 2 systems directly together, though ive never done it.
a switch or router might work too, just plug them both into the network and set it to system link game
Edit: yea here

Just a cheap hub works.
Do you need a cross-over cable? I thought the 360's had smart ports?
Edit: Yes they have smart ports.
If you are using two Xbox 360s, you can use a standard RJ-45 Ethernet cable instead of the System Link cable.

Yeah, either plug them right into eachother or into the same hub/switch/router and system link will work.

Huh. I haven't every done system link with the 360, I just remembered the original Xbox needed crossover cables.

Gigabit Ethernet ports don't need crossover cables, wheras older ones do (like the Xbox). Xbox 360s have gigabit ports. Yay!

I remember making long cross-over wires from the original wiring so that we could hook up two xbox's in different rooms. Aw, the memories.
