Has anyone else had a problem with CoG often going crazy and making your whole computer hang? In the past few days it's happened several times, where it started taking 99% of my CPU and everything was just dead until I could kill the browser.

I know Clark has mentioned this happening to him too. Anybody else?

No, and I keep CoG open and refresh pretty often... are you sure it's not something else in your browser? A FireFox addon, perhaps?

Nothing for me, and I keep up it up pretty much all day when at work on an ancient system.

Any page where someone has the Skype IM setting I've noticed it sometimes takes forever to load it, and sometimes it even fails completely.

For example, now that I've posted in this thread, see if it hangs for you while coming back to respond. :D

No, I'm constantly coming and going from CoG all day and I have never had this issue.
I'm using Firefox 3.0.4.

I know Clark has mentioned this happening to him too. Anybody else?I'd guess it's something Flash-related. We do have that Child's Play banner now, at least for the Lights Out theme.

I haven't had this issue here, but I have had Flash do things like that in Firefox from time to time.

Oh, disable the skype Firefox add-on. That thing is buggy as hell and made browsing the internet miserable for two of my computers until I figured out what was causing it.

I hate how programs (like skype) will install the Firefox plugin without asking permission. >.<

I had this issue for the first time just now in this (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?t=2415) thread. Came to the bay to see what was up. Also it didn't happen as I tried to reply or anything, just lagged a second or two when I hit page down on more than one occasion. Also had my fan kick in pretty hard so something was obviously taking up juice.

Yeah, I have it. It's enabled, too. I have no idea how I failed to notice that. It's gone now. :p
