I'm still getting a feel for the game myself. Got it 2 days ago. Right now, I don't get too upset because I'm usually the one causing the problems. That point aside, I shoot the ones I love first.

we are only supposed to play the games the way the developers intended. we aren't supposed to fully explore a sandbox style game but rather just go where missions take us. duh... don't chu know nothin!?
