Anybody interested in playing through this game coop? I believe it allows for up to four players...

I've never played the NWN 2 campaign so I thought this would be a fun way to do so.

I've never gotten the game to play correctly but I may be interested, depending on schedule.

I'd be totally up for that, but my copy of NWN2 went walkabout years ago.

I would love to, but my schedule is way to atrocious to play anything meaningful.

I keep meaning to fire it up after I bought it cheap awhile back. Unfortunately, I just picked Oblivion back up.

I tried to get into it again recently, and got to Neverwinter then quit.
God I forgot how boring early level DnD could be, esp for a Wizard.

Neverwinter is where the game gets good. Every time I tried to replay the game I couldn't get that far.

Gods this sounds tempting. I need a clone.

I'm up to it if I still have my copy.

How is Neverwinter 2 compared to the first? I played a good bit of the campaign in the first one and some online server stuff. I seem to remember some negative reviews when 2 came out but that could have been launch bugginess or something. Can't remember.

It had random issues running on a lot of computers, the camera was bloody awful and the first few hours are very generic, by-the-book fantasy RPG. However, I thought it was a pretty damn good game. The story was interesting, there are a few nice branches in the plot and you get to run a castle.
This Kieron Gillen review (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/r_nwn2_pc) is worth a look.

Stop making it sound fun. I don't want to reload it, drag myself through that god awful first 6-8 hours or so again. I can never get into the Blacklight distric or whatever before I want to slit my wrists out of boredum.
I need to not roll a mage, thats the problem. Since it shoves you at the front in every cut scene where you spend the boss fight running around in circles to keep them off you.

Plus sheesh, I couldn't find the intro characters more dull. The Tiefling was amusing, but the dwarf and druid could get bent.

The dwarf is awesome! The idea of a drunken dwarf brawler who wants to become a monk because they're so good at fighting is brilliant. His character arc is really good.

His story did sound interesting, but I've only ever got as far as finding the monestry before my brain melted out of boredum.
I imagine he is awesome once you get him to being a Dwarven monk, but it's getting there....

We played on this past Wednesday and, honestly, I have to say that the game is a slight notch above terrible (at least for me). We may be better suited doing D&D adventures through DDO instead... This is IMHO though...

Or you could patch up NWN 1 with the graphic improvements.
NWShader to enhance NWN's old graphics.

NWNCQ to further enhance NWN's graphics.

- Available also as a modular option http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Hakpaks.Detail&id=8013

The base NWN2 campaign is about as terrible as the base NWN campaign. Okay, maybe not that bad. I did get through NWN2, I never made it out of Neverwinter in the first.
Expansions and modules are the way to go.

I didn't like that (it appeared anyways) that only 1 of us had control over the party members. It also treated the other person in MP as just a 'come-along' instead of being a equal member of the party.
