I figured the same thing. I'm an RPG nut but haven't finished a single one this generation. I own Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon and each is good, but I just haven't the patience as much these days. Though I think Blue Dragon is my favorite because the art style and cuteness...and I'm still plugging away at it slowly.

But like you said, if it turns out to be meh I could always trade it in or resell it for that much. I doubt I'll do that though.

Damn preorders and their good deals! First Banjo-Kazooie: N+B offering the original game for free with preorder (and a nice $38 price tag) to boot, now this. Actually, I wish MORE games would offer similar deals, or prices. Hopefully this is a sign that more games will drop, a la last gen. We've been paying $60 too long.

I'm really curious about this game but I'm knee-deep in Tales of Vesperia at the moment and don't feel like getting pulled away. And with so many games potentially coming my way in a month I can't justify plunking down any money for this. Still, awesome deal for a game that looks pretty interesting.

There is one review on Gamerankings that gave it 7/10, from Xbox Magazine or Team Xbox or something.

I don't put TOO much stock in Famitsu, but it's good to hear nonetheless. I mean, I have an investment in this game and I hope it exceeds my nonexistant expectations.

In an interview with a few key members of the Last Remnant development team, Gamespy was prodded with the question of why the title would be hitting the Xbox 360 first. "This is mainly for development reasons," the team responded. "We're developing the game using the middleware Unreal Engine, and the Unreal Engine has a slower development on the PS3 side. It was only really workable after Unreal Tournament was published, so this was mainly a development decision."

The team went on to discuss plans to use the Crystal Engine, or a proprietary one in the future. One has to wonder just what exactly is going on behind the scenes with the Unreal Engine. This delay, in particular, hurts, as the PS3 is devoid of very many RPGs. The Last Remnant, one of the few on the horizon, is now going the way of Enchanted Arms and Eternal Sonata. Then again, that's probably better than going the way of Star Ocean 4 and potentially not coming at all.

I thought I read someone that the team really liked the Unreal engine and were looking forward to using it again. Guess that's a bust.
