Anyone?

Fallout3 made me want to play FO2 again, but I'm not sure its possible. I wandered over to NMA to see how it would work, but finding anything over there is a nightmare. I know they did some funky mods and whatnot that I wouldn't mind checking out, but at the moment I'm settling for getting the game to start.

I know some people have been talking about playing FO1/2 on here so I was hoping they might point me in the right direction.

I'm unsure on the state of Gametap re Vista 64, I know it doesn't support XP 64.

But GOG's copies of the games are all patched to work on XP and Vista both.

Blah, I don't really want to buy it again if I can help it.

Good to know its there if it really starts bothering me though.

Also, they're old enough that you might be able to just run them in some kind of virtualization.

I know back in the day I had some luck getting FO1 for DOS running in Blue Label on an old 200mhz PowerMac, I'd imagine by now most boxes and virt software should be more than capable.

I have an original copy of F1, F2, and FT on my shelf, and I still bought the GOG versions ($20, who cares) for the patches and support.

gametap definately does not support any 64 bit - because their encryption is 32 bit based. gametap games are somewhat a liability anyway if there are unofficial patches available, because these will rarely or ever work with the gametap binaries.

fallout and fallout 2 from COG work great and the patches work great on Vista-64. For $6 each fallout and fallout 2 are well worth it - and they basically installled for me with absolutely no hassle.
