ps3 menage a trois

i bought a ps3 together with my roommate, now i have a few questions about user accounts and games bought in the ps3 store

will we need 2 different user accounts on the ps3 to seperate gamesaves and trophies and such or 2 different psn accounts or both?
since we decided that if i was to move out sometime, that he will keep the ps3 and pay me half of the price of a ps3 at that time ;) i decided that he will buy all the stuff from psn with me paying only for something if i really really want it and he doesnt.

or is that no problem and things i pay for a bound to my psn account?
furthermore i'd like to know how it is handled if something is bought with his psn account, is it availyble to all user accounts, i.e mine too, on the ps3 or just his user account?
so if he buys a rockband track pack will i be able to play that on a different user account?

any helpfull answers to these bawdy questions are appreciated ;)

You'd want two PSN accounts (1 for each of you) to separate game saves, trophies, and XMB options. So far as DLC and downloadable games, they should work across all accounts. I do know that there was something with Warhawk where it was actually locked for other accounts (I think), but that should only be for games that are on disc too. No clue about songs.

thanks for the replies so far, that cleared up a few things, but what still isnt clear to me, is downloadable content bound to the ps3 or to the psn account? so if i buy something with my psn account on our ps3 and later get my own ps3 will i be able to take it with me?
extrapolating from grovi's reply it seems DLC is bound to the ps3

why? ^^ i can borrow it from a friend and as far as i heard the game is nice but not great
my next purchases or birthday presents :P will be ratchet & clank, burnout paradise and valkyria chronicles ;)

It's tied to the account but any account that's on the system can use what's on the console (for the most part). You can always redownload it later on your own system.

Trust me, Uncharted is one of the best games this generation. Every PS3 owner should own a copy.

extrapolating from grovi's reply it seems DLC is bound to the ps3As I understand it, you're PSN games are tied to your PSN account and you can tie each game to up to 3 consoles. I think you can get those de-tied to a particular system by contacting Sony, but the idea is you have a couple of extras in case of system death or what ever, so it's probably not terribly easy to get them de-tied.

Just make sure you play Uncharted. It's worth playing that much is obvious. Also find friends who own Resistance. Another one to enjoy. And nothing about LBP?? You should have your PS3 taken away...

we bougth a ps3 lbp bundle ^^ lbp is the only game we have atm ;)
resistance i am sure i will not buy, i enjoy "shooters" on consoles seldom so much that i would buy them
