This week's edition of Turning The Spigot takes a look at a game that, while maybe not totally obscure, is one that has been grossly overlooked by a large part of the gaming public.

Dead Head Fred tells the story of Fred, a private investigator who loses his head (literally) at the beginning of the game, only to come back to life with the aid of a crazy scientist. Set in a twisted, noir world that resembles something out of The Nightmare Before Christmas but with more blood and guts, Dead Head Fred has you searching for clues to get revenge on the people responsible for leaving you as a brain in a jar and also figure out why the town you live in has taken such a turn for the worse.

This game won the WGA award for game writing. I always wanted to check it out.

I was too, but I got it completely wrong. I thought this was something based off of a band or something. So never registered to the rent or buy range. I'll have to do that now. Or maybe put it on my xmas list...can't wait to get reactions over that title's name.

It's definately worth it for that pittance.

Really? Would be my first purchase like that then. It's sad I don't check the PSN store enough...or XBL either for that matter...lots of good stuff just no time...but I think i'll just download this over the weekend. Maybe my online stalker will remind me of that...

I fail as a PSP fanboy, I don't have this one yet. :p It's on my list of stuff to get, though! :)
