View Full Version : Puzzle Quest Coming to PS3 This Winter

According to Shacknews (http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/55034), everybody's favorite Bejeweled (http://www.popcap.com/gamepopup.php?theGame=diamondmine) themed RPG will be arriving on the PlayStation 3 this winter.

The PlayStation Store version will bundle the original Puzzle Quest, along with the Revenge of the Plague Lord expansion, for an undisclosed sum. The original game initially sold for $15 on Xbox Live Arcade, butdropped to $10 prior to the arrival of the $8.75 expansion pack.

The article also points out that a new Puzzle Quest game set in space will be hitting (http://www.shacknews.com/laryn.x?story=53865) the PC, XBox 360, and Nintendo DS, sometime early next year.

Why is Puzzle Quest Galactix not also heading to the PSP? The original was fantastic on the PSP.

I never really got the massive love for this one. I first bought it on the DS and sold it. Then I bought it for the PSP and sold it. I like the whole leveling structure but the constant Bejeweled type gameplay got stagnant.

I am just getting back into PQ on the PC, only level 15 or so. Great game.

Probably didn't get enough sales. There's less PSP penetration into the casual market. And while these games are super addicting no matter if you're a gamer or not, targeting markets with the largest audience make the most sales sense.

Damn it. I read "Police Quest" and was all excited. Then i read again, and realised I like Puzzle Quest, as well.

I'm still losing an hour or two of sleep a day to Puzzle Quest. How will I function once I have Puzzle Quest in *space* on top of my quest to defeat Lord Bane? I don't care so much about a PS3 release, as I've already got it on XBLA and the DS...

If Blizzard was smart, they'd grab this as well and push it into WoW. I'd be completely ruined as a human being.

I find it surprising you felt this way as the gameplay evolved over time as you pick up more items and spells to dramatically alter the gameplay field such as changing (or even removing) entire colors, etc...

I bought PQ for my cell phone. It's very short though. I've finished it once and was nearly invincible with a double damage rune, but I'm playing through it again. I have the PSP version but need to get back into it.
