Time flies at the following link (http://www.ingamechat.net/audio/IGC20110521.mp3).

Yes, it's been a minute or two since we've posted an episode, and there's no doubt that's my fault. It's also true that this episode isn't entirely the one we'd like to have delivered. There was no hope of retrieving or recreating the four hours of talkabout we'd laid down already, so a backward glance is all you're going to get. In an effort to move forward, however, we've provided a confusion of format changes, a new venue, and dubious audio quality.

We imagine that recording directly from Scott's home studio will result in several casual changes, not the least of which is his ability to lounge in pyjamas. But we aim to make improvements overall; to bring some of our toys into the process with us, and to draw you into the room as well. And post more shows. That, too.

I'd like to reiterate my last post for the previous episode:

This week:
"Welcome to In-Game Chat: Your monthly podcast..."
July:
"Welcome to In-Game Chat: Your bi-monthly podcast..."
Christmas:
"Welcome to In-Game Chat: Your...aww fuck it..."

No, I swear! And not like I swore in the past, but an earnest swear this time. Regularity is totally a thing now.

Also, we're plain done with the lifestyle conflicts. We're setting a hard schedule for recording, and whoever makes it is in. No dawdling or cat-herding, even if it means just a pair of hosts at the mic. Or one host and his jammmies. No shit.

Well, if you guys ever need audio-edit help, let me know. I've had to edit more than a few of my friends podcasts over the last few years.

It sure come a long way since three episodes a week.

We thought about those days while trying to figure out a new schedule for ourselves. Even we can't believe we did three of these things each week for a good month or so.

Welcome back to the show, hope you like what you hear.

My issue with Kotaku wasn't that I or other's might get spoiled, it was that they're robbing the developers of the chance to entertain their audience. They don't want that information out there because they want the player to have a certain experience. What I mean is that I look at it from the dev's perspective, not the audience's. If you write about games because you care about them then I don't understand how you can choose to be so disrespectful towards the people who make games. Why would a game developer want to have anything to do with them after that?

Whose interest are the serving by publishing it? It's not the audience's, it's just their own, it's 100% self serving. It's not sensitive information that the public needs to know. Maybe they wouldn't have done it for ME3 or Portal 2, let's at least hope they wouldn't. If you're working on a game you just try to make the best experience for people and publishing that info is to take a giant dump on all their efforts.

Also, I know James likes to max everything out so just a pre-emptive warning to turn off "UberSampling" in TW2. It's just some weird post processing that kills performance on every rig. I'm curious if that game will make you reconsider your "graphics are good enough" stance :P because it's the prettiest thing ever.

I dont understand this obsession with spoilers. I knew Kevin Spacey was Keyser Soze and I still liked the movie.

Do you never feel suspense in a story?
Spoilers take that away

Dude, just give it up.... I used to edit these guys' show, and have it ready to rock THAT NITE. They ignore me when I plead to them to let me do it again! :(

First off, thank you very much for podcasts.....

Shitty day and yet again IGC has exumed me from the depths.

Anyways, what is the new recording setup. I notice recently for my own pod that there was a slight echo let off by the table. I can hear the echo in this ep. If you guys are sitting at a table, is it possible to put a blanket on the table to dampen the sound/echo?

Nice to have a new show at last.

Maybe they wouldn't have done it for ME3
If they did then I would hunt them down and kick them in their internets.

I really don't care about call of duty so in this instance I am completely indifferent to their actions. There are games however like ME that I want to know absolutely nothing about prior to playing it. I can avoid the original article which contains the spoilers, but once that information is out there it can't be taken back. Someone is bound to mention all/part of it in a place where you wouldn't expect to see it and the damage is done. I am the same with film trailers/previews to TV shows, once I have decided to see something I don't want to know anything else about it.
