Just finished an interview with Stephane D'Astous of Eidos Montreal.. They're still working on Deus Ex 3, but they have a second team that started to work on another 1st/3rd person franchise, that starts with T...

I'm so psyched! More on our show, when it's online. (French news on games and movies)

They've said they're bringing back another big franchise (and that the Montreal studio is working on it)

They have a "portes ouvertes" next saturday, from 10:00 to 16:00.
Their studio is at 400 Maisonneuve West. I'll be there for sure. (I'm not looking for a job, just got a promotion, but hey.. Thief)

During the interview, I was just pulling an imaginary bow.. And he looked at me and smiled. "I'm not allowed to talk about that project yet". "oh.. you mean it's a dark project?" (laughs)

Those don't start with T and a new hitman is being made they announced it awhile ago but not anything since.

Was there ever any doubt that there would be another Thief game? I mean, Eidos gave away that exact same hint back in April (http://www.gamespot.com/news/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=26331688). ;)

That said, no one will be able to create a Thief game that matches Thief 2. Deadly Shadows came close, but I think it suffered a bit from attempting to be a good console game, as well as a good PC game.

I want Looking Glass Studios back. :(

During the interview, there was talk of assembling a 3rd team, but about THAT one, he couldn't tell anything.

There's also the Kane and Lynch movie coming up, if anyone's interested (rumours about Bruce Willis playing one of the main characters)

No one can do a Thief game as good as 2 or Deadly Shadows. The only ones who could were shut down after Thief 3.

*sigh* Just leave us with our good memories and don't rape them, please?

Please don't be the buggy plot-raping pos that Deadly Shadows was... Worst ending ever.

Also, please look to Thief 2 for how incredibly huge, wonderful, and immersing levels can be.

Thief 1 and 2 are my favorites.
