Bithday is coming up next weekend and am having a tough time coming up with what to asks for.
I have gotten a lot of good shit the last few years. Now I'm stuck.
The last few years I have gotten or bought:
a 42" TV
a Zune
a PSP
a DS Lite
a 5.1 surround system
a 360
a million games, including all the new big releases
a HD-DVD player
a ton of Ravens NFL stuff
a wii
a pretty good PC(nothing needed)
Things I know I do NOT want:
a PS3
a Blu Ray player
Any suggestions.. Don't know what to tell the fiancee except for the obvious.
Should be about the $200 range. I'm stumped, there are no new gadgets out there that I can think of.

Maybe some gold, frankincense, and myrrh? ;)
Hmm, sounds like you have pretty much all the awesome important fun stuff there is (that you want). Toughie. I'll think about it and let you know if I come up with anything awesome.

Sooo...you have an HD-DVD player, but you don't want a Blu-Ray player? Can I assume that you just don't feel the need for high definition movies? 'Cause....you know...James Bond movies on Blu-Ray are a marvelous thing :)
Otherwise...another 360? Attached to your pc monitor? Then 2 copies of Crackdown and a willing participant to join you in hours of carnage over system-link. :)

Another 360 would be a good suggestion if it were easy to use my single account without having to move my account and HD back and forth. Would not mind having one on my PC monitor.
I won't go blu ray on principle and because the last thing I need is another console to support and as you know the best player is the PS3 due to its upgradeablility.

.
Memory card. I got one for going to my buddy's house and it works seamlessly. You just store your account on it and you're golden. Of course, it can be a hassle with save games.

I have two suggestions. One wholesome and another not so much.
Option 1) Have her take that money and donate it to Child's Play (http://www.childsplaycharity.org/) in your name.
Option 2) Find her measurements and hit up Victoria's Secret and ask her to wear whatever you pick out.
Either option is win-win.

PSP. I'd say 360 but you already have one. Just get it fixed instead.
My birthday is tomorrow and all I'm asking for is dinner at Red Robin and a new pair of shoes. I'm buying Gears of War 2 tonight at Circuit City though (the 1600 pts card seals the deal).
I bought Gears 1 two years ago on my Bday, two years later for this one is sweet too. I'm not TOO excited for it for some reason, but I know I need to play it.

200 Tacos? Belly jewelery? Donation to the Human Fund?
How about one of those touch screen remote controls? They look pretty cool, and it sounds like you have a large enough home theater to warrant one.
$200 probably isn't enough for a nice recliner in which to enjoy all of that stuff. How about a nice speaker set for the PC, or a new monitor?
You could get a sweet leather jacket for 2 bills if you need one.
Then there's the ultimate: the Bacon of the Month Club (http://www.uncrate.com/men/culture/food/bacon-of-the-month-club/).

Wouldn't buying these things be good economic stimulus for you guys? I was under the impression that part of the problem is people hoarding their money and cutting back on stuff.

If I read the OP properly, it appears that that list is things that he has received in the past.
You know, sometimes people ask for suggestions so that they can give you things that you will like and enjoy.
KG, we're all pitching in to get you a copy of Mortyr 2 for your birthday! :p

I guess I'm getting old, but I don't really want to ask for anything for my birthday. I actually enjoy getting things like socks or other stuff I think is boring to buy. I'll rather buy the "toys" myself.
Ok, maybe I was a bit tired. But the OP just screamed spoiled a bit much for me. My bad.
That was my first impression as well, but it was more to do with the way it was worded. I've gotten many great gifts over the years, but those have been surprises. Those are the greatest gifts IMHO.

You get shit like that for your birthday? I'm not trying to be a dick, but jeebus! :p
My parents used to give me $10 for my birthday when I was living at home, now, I don't get anything. My wife and I don't even give gifts to each other on our birthdays. I'm not trying to hate on you (maybe a little because I'm jealous ;)) but I don't know anyone who gets gifts that nice on any occasion. It tops out around the "Here's a DVD" $20 range.

How about an Oris Artelier Date? Quality Swiss craftsmanship but at a price point below that of the more usual luxury timepiece. These retail at around thirteen hundred which might sound like a lot but it's comparable to Omega, Breitling etc. who use the same Swiss movements but cost considerably more.
The only downside to buying an Oris watch is that you soon want to start a collection. ;)

My parents offered to get me something good for Christmas, so I asked if they'd be cool with getting me a PSP and a new SUMO. That's not just a good chair and a handheld, that's a whole layed back experience. You can get a pretty huge SUMO (a SUMO Sac Sultan (http://www.sumolounge.com/sumosac.php)) for $250, shipped. You say you have a fiancee, and from my experience, girls love cuddling up on these things.

Be like my grandparent's and have people donate money to your favorite charities in your name. No gift humbles the giver quite like that, especially at Christmas-time.

I give at least several hundred dollars a year to charity and also some time via various orgs. I get gifts on 2 occasions Birthday and X-Mas and I do sometimes ask for big ticket items. Sue me.
Oh, by the way. I got a Kindle and Mirror's Edge. The only thing I even remotely hinted about was the game. My GF rules.

I love watches, have a bunch I have collected over the years. That one looks nice, but I have been on a kinetic and solar kick for a while. The last one I got was a casio that I use to beat up at work and a Citizen for dress casual. I really hate having to replace batteries, especially when I hav trouble finding a shop that wont beat the shit out of the damn thing.

You're in luck then because all ORIS watches are automatic (Kinetic is Seiko's trademark for the automatic movement).

Don't have it quite yet, due to Oprah saying it was the best gadget ever or something, its backordered.
Will post my thoughts once its here. I hope for it to replace the paper books I buy.. Although I still have a 2 foot stack of them I havent got to yet.. One of them 900+ pages of the latest Stephenson book. Looks to save me some ash as well as most new releases are $10.

Well after many weeks of waiting(they were back ordered) I finally got my kindle today. Thing rocks! That is if an electronic book can do such a thing.
Pros:
-Most Books are cheap, new releases are generally $9.99, although I found lots of super cheap ones.
-You download books and browse the store directly from the device via their wireless whispernet service which is free(I think it uses sprints evdo cell service)
-Its super light
-Screen really does look like paper
-Has FREE but somewhat basic web browsing
-Some newspapers and magazines can be subscribed to for fairly cheap prices and they are delivered automatically.
-Downloads are surprisingly fast
-Despite the screen being 4 grayscale colors it displays most pictures pretty well.
-Many font size choices
Cons:
-Initial cost
-A slight bit sluggish at times, especially when paging to a page with a picture on it.
-Due to the tech used for the screen there is a whole page black "flicker" every page change
-So sold out now, you can't get one for 11-13 weeks. So forget XMAS and probably Valentines day.
-You need a light just like a book to read the screen.
Anyway I give it a B+.
I said I'd post a "review" when I got it so here it is.
