So the first payable (and free) themes have hit Xbox Live and I gotta say, I'm kinda unimpressed. I didn't pay for one, I just grabbed the free GoW2 one. Basically it consists of 4 backgrounds of our favourite Locust stomping heroes and furniture for your friends.
The furniture is actually pretty cool and puts a nice image behind each friend, a King Raven, Ruins or some other GoW doohickey. No Charaters though.
The images, this is really where it becomes a bit rubbish. Instead of creating an awesome image that takes advantage of the wide yet limited height for some great panorma to imerse yourself in Sera (I'd ignore the X circle floor) they have instead put regular dashboard images, which means half the image is missing.
Overall It's kind of half hearted but the possibility exists for some really cool themes.
As for clothing, they've thrown "ten shitloads" of new clothing uo for your Avatar which you don't even have to download, they just appear in your Avatars cupboard. Best of all, it's all free!
