Penny Arcade's annual Child's Play Charity (http://www.childsplaycharity.org) is now underway, and accepting donations of all kinds. For the handful of you that may not know, Child's Play is a charity drive where you get to select a children's hospital from the gigantic list on their website, and buy some video games for sick kids. It's really that simple.

Do good. Promote games. Help kids. You really can't do better than hooking up with Child's Play when you want to show the world that gamers can be compassionate human beings. So find a hospital near you on the giant map (http://www.childsplaycharity.org), and give as much as you can spare.

Just sent this in on my form for this year's automatic payroll deduction -- always feels good :)

Good to know CoG will be having a CP drive. I'll wait and submit as part of the team.

Yay, the NC Childrens Hospital is finally on there. I guess I'll be donating twice, once for my local hospital and once through CoG.

Not be all impatient, but is there any reason you guys can't just kick off one of those Chip-In thingies right now?

I ask because I like to do this stuff as soon as I can, so I don't forget to later.

You won't be waiting long. I promise.

Winnipeg Children's Hospital is finally on there. Well, I said I'd donate when it arrived so...

Yeah, they've added Iowa Children's Hospital on there. Which means I don't have to give to that dirty, rotten Omaha Children's Hospital again this year! Whoo-hoo!

Kidding! Kidding! ;)

I'm happy you included that sarcasm notice. Or else I'd be quite sad. :o

Anyway, it is nice that you can donate to a local hospital. I'll try to donate this year, but I won't be able to manage much.

Go CoG! I was waiting for this to happen. I'll be donating and looking to do some local charities as well.

I felt great benefit from this years ago when I was in the hospital for some head injuries.

This is a no brainer for me.

Does anyone know the amount of money needed for the various levels of sponsorship? I say we at least go for Gold.

This is a no brainer for me.There's a joke there somewhere.

I might just be too tired to make it right now. ;)

While I really hate Cincinnati, I am thrilled to see they finally added the Children's Hospital here in town. My ex works there and my son's dentist is there.

As soon as I can make some money, I will certainly be donating.

Sweet. Nothing really local, but I hope to at least help some.

My parents agreed to match whatever I donate once again this year. I'm a bit poor as of now, but as soon as I get some kind of money, I can't wait to donate!

Bump for less than 24 hours to go now justice. It's a nice thought, but I'm sure there will be a brand new front page post when the CoG drive actually begins. This was just a post to remind people that Child's Play is coming and to start thinking about it. There is plenty more to come.

Bah, Penny Arcade still cares nothing for the hick babies. I guess I'll have to donate to the shoe wearin' folk.

Have you e-mailed them about adding Arkansas Children's Hospital to the list? Last year the Children's Hospital in my state was added after I contacted Child's Play and the hospital. Definitely worth looking into!
