No, it was awesome and carried by special FX. The only way they could improve it is by adding moar FX, and less Beef.

Pretenders were a good idea but badly executed in the 80's. Hopefully this will work out much better.

The first Transformers movie was awesome, what else could you ask for in a transformers movie? Robots? check. Big ass explosions? check. I think anybody who wanted more out of a Transformers movie should stick with the Seventh Seal.

Dude, it's an action movie, not fucking Schindler's List. If you went in expecting anything other than watery characters and giant robots seriously fucking some shit up, then its your own fault if you found the experience bland and unpalatable. Saying the movie was carried by its FX is like complaining that a receses peanut butter cup is full of peanut butter.

You are giving that shithouse piece of horror a better review than it is worse. Aside from one of the Transformers suddenly pissing on someone's head. That was money better spent bombing a random nation, saving a couple thousand baby seals or making Lethal Weapon 26.
