Last year I witnessed a hobo having like a seizer or something while another hobo held his arms. This was like a block from the Con. It was so weird...

Some more-

A Seagal is when someone heavy tries to somersault behind a hedge and gets shot throughout the entire roll because he is too slow.

A Van Dam is leaping over some obstacle and crotching yourself.

Which can also turn into a Sid Viscious if you break something.

A Stallone is getting up too quick from a crouch and trying to run but you are all stiff and you FEEL like your flying but you are actually running like 3 mph and get shot many times from it.

A 50 Cent is pulling a Stallone but pretending you NEVER got shot.

A "Vasectomy" is aiming down at someone who is also aiming down at you but your clip hasn't been wound so you don't have any bb's in the barrel.

A Full Load is what you get hit with when that opponent that you just pulled a Vasectomy on, pays you back by unleashing a torrent of bb's at your uncovered body part.

A Neo is facing 3 opponents or more and somehow all the airsoft pellets catch just the right wind and don't hit you.

A "bad idea" is trying to pull a Neo on a non-windy day.

And lastly is the oldy but goody. The John McEnroe. That's when you get shot but argue that you never got shot NOR was the shot even close to you, even as the welt is rising on your arm that got shot.

I think we have a thread somewhere for first-timer tips. But in a nutshell - be ready to wait in lines, don't make yourself a rigid schedule so that you're all angst-ridden when you don't make the exact panels you expected to go to, and bring snacks as local food vendors within a block or two will all be fucked beyond recognition.

After playing the Viper Room, my band was outside and a guy is shambling up. Somebody says, "hey, it's Andy Dick" and as I turn to see, I agree, "that IS Andy Dick!". He pushes between me and my brother to get in the club, mumbling "getthefuckouttamyway", then spent roughly 10 seconds in the club before getting bounced. He stumbled away as some girls tried to get his picture.

I am like catnip to hobos- even rich ones, I guess.

WARNING: PAX is going to sell out much faster this year.

At the current rate, 3 day passes will be out this week, and the rate for individual days puts it selling out early to mid June.

If you're thinking about going but aren't sure, buy now. You can likely get a refund or sell it off. Once passes officially sell out there will be a thread for buying/selling passes in the official PAX forums, so you'd have no problem finding a buyer.

DON'T GET LEFT OUT OF THE AWESOME!

Though it's also logic and maths. PAX-E 2011 sold out faster than the inaugural event, and Prime is usually on pace to sell out late July/early August. Under the rates from previous years, 3 day passes sold out before Omeganaut calls went out (or very closely afterwards), with a 2 month period of individual day sales.

At current estimates, that's still a month to a month and a half difference between 3 day and single day passes sell out. Still pretty much on point, just months earlier.

3 Day Passes HAVE SOLD OUT!

Individual day passes are still available, but you'll be paying slightly more. And you'll be a goober with 3 different colored badges instead of one single color badge that you don't have to swap out each day. But you can still be at PAX!
If you're on the fence, you can still buy the passes and sell them later if you can't make it.
