Has everyone coordinated days that they're flying out yet and/or meeting up? We looking at a Thursday meetup one day prior to PAX, like '08?

I've got a friend in the area and I was going to fly out a few days ahead of everything, but I didn't want to overstay my welcome over there.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what to check out in town?

So my friends and I are booked now at the Paramount. I can't believe how quickly the Sheraton filled up. We're just about as close though, so I guess it's alright. It was just neat running into so many people in the Sheraton lobby last year, I'm kinda bummed out.

Jackel, Dualshotty23, and I are sharing a room at the Red Lion. We are still looking for a 4th Gentlemen for the room. We have the room Thurs-Mon. I will be checking in around 10-11AM~ depending on when I arrive.

There's the Grey Line Bus that runs from the airport to various major hotels downtown, $20 one way (I've used it both times I've gone to PAX, quick, get to see the city and they drop you off/pick you up at the hotel) Or if you're fortunate a local or driving CoGger can pick you up. Most everything else is walking distance.

I'm asking for $250 from each of you guys. Currently it's 2 queen sized beds but I'm going to be calling to ask if they can provide 2 cots, or if there's couches in the room. It did not provide that information when i reserved the room.

I am going to take the train system that goes from the airport to 4th street, then a small walk to 5th street. It was like a 40~ minutes ride and only $2 so it's nice a cheap but maybe a few minutes longer than a taxi.

Also the light rail goes straight from the airport to the convention center and costs ~$5.

Yeah, here's a tip for those of you who don't live in Seattle and are renting cars: Avoid I-5 from 7-9 am and 4-6 pm. As someone who had to commute from north of seattle to near the airport, I can tell you now that I-5 is a nightmare at those times.

I'm registered with two of my buddies, it's a hotel that is about five blocks away my friend said. Not sure on the name, but I'll figure that out. I', super excited, they're taking me for my bachelor party.

I have a bed open in my room at the Hilton - the split cost would be about $400. (Thursday night through Monday morning) If I get nobody who wants to take that offer I may see about one of the other openings Coggers have in order to save the cash.

Hilton's a good place - stayed there in 09 when i caught the black death. Be ready, however, it sits on a hill for when you are making your way back to your rooms.

Don't know but considering we're just about a week away from this, you might have difficulties finding 2 spots. You might want to check out the official PAX forums as well.
