I know there probably won't be a huge audience for this here on CoG, but Sony's casual targeted free-to-play MMO has started accepting beta signups (http://www.freerealms.com/).
Targeted for kids: While we had kids in mind for some of the features, my opinion is that it's a game casual players and even some medium-core gamers will enjoy. If you're a gamer who can play Animal Crossing, Mario Kart or Puzzle Quest without feeling like it's a kid's game, you'd probably dig Free Realms. :-)
EQ Lore: The Free Realms universe is not linked to the EQ universe, although there will be homages to EQ/EQII (as well as The Agency, Planetside, and other SOE games).
