Just a heads up: this drive had numerous problems and disk failures for me before I ended up sending it back. This was in Feb though, so maybe they fixed the issues since then.

The older drives with this model number are prone to failure. Buyer beware.

I do not want to start a war. But after discovering MaxBlast, the stupid easy disc cloning utility, I will be Seagate for life.
But anyone looking for an upgrade or budget parts, that is a deal.

Samsung has traditionally made quality drives. They also tend to be very low noise compared to the competition.

They need not be very big (she currently has a RAID 1 with 320GB of capacity), but they need to be less loud than whatever is in there now.
