I downloaded the free iPhone/Android app Conventionist (http://conventionist.com/)last night. It includes the PAX East agenda and it's awesome. It includes the maps, schedule and exhibitors list. It allows you to choose which panels, events and booths you want to visit and can send you reminders from 10 minutes to 1 hour before it starts so you can hustle over and get in line.
This should be much more useful than flipping through the paper schedules, and it's free! Get it!

I don't know what PAX East is like, but hopefully that app actually stores that data on the phone because I know getting data at PAX Prime was a PITA.
Yeah the data stores on your Phone. I used it for PAX West last year and helped a lot with navigating around.

Yep, the site makes a note that it works just fine in offline mode. From the site:
How many times has it happened: you are at a convention, trying to access a website or text a friend, and you discover that you have no cell phone or data service. This is a common problem which plagues large events which we have taken great care to build our application around.
Every feature of The Conventionist is planned and developed under the assumption that you may not have cell phone or wireless signal at any given moment. It is a core feature of the app and essential when it comes to delivering content to a large audience located within a single space.
Our guides are stored locally on the phone, so everything is downloaded once (preferrably before the event) and can then be accessed on and offline. Features which require an internet connection (event ratings, feedback, etc.) still function offline, and attempt to sync with our servers once a connection is established.

Last year I didnt have a problem connecting with 52,000 attendees. Prime was 60K.

on T-Mobile it was hit n' miss. Deep in the hall I would lose signal, other areas it was fine. Usually SMS was the most reliable, although you lose out on the obvious ringing alert (unless you change it for the con)

I was with AT&T when I had problems but I've since switched over to T-mo. so I'm hoping at prime I'll be alright.
