I've been trying to add funds to my PSN Wallet using my credit card for *days*, and it doesn't like my CC. Yet apparently I can purcahse all sorts of things all over the net with it.

Anyone else have this problem with the PSN store?

I have had no such problems with PSN. I also have my card tied to my account though, so I haven't had to money with it in awhile.

Grr. According to what I'm finding on the web, this is a known problem with Sony. Oh well, I'll just hit up the store tomorrow.

I have this problem. I think it may be because my card is from a university federal credit union, so my address is a dorm address with multiple lines.

I have had this problem before, and then it just started working. I have had my card declined from Steam on 3 occasions, despite the fact I had used it multiple times prior. This last time I got fed up and started using the Steam Wallet, funded by PayPal. Have not had a PSN issue recently, but I put most of the blame on Visa personally. My card seems to be hit-or-miss when it comes to online services.

Try Vudu, that movie service they added last November, it's freakin' awesome. I guess it might depend on your connection, but I've had absolutely no problems streaming HD movies with that.

I've also had good luck with Netflix and Amazon VOD. Amazon in particular has daily deals for "newish" movies.

I had a similar problem, PSN is very picky about how you enter your address. I live in an apartment and had to put the apartment part of my address on the same line as the street.

A lot of billing is like that. A "properly formatted" address typically consists of the apartment number and street number on the same line.

You must input your address on the card EXACTLY as it appears on the credit card billing statement. For whatever reason PSN is stupid picky about that.

My debit card was denied multiple times because my bank never updated my zip code when it changed. It's super annoying when you want to give them money and can't lol.

I did that. In fact, I stopped in at the bank this morning and we walked through it with a VISA rep on the line.

It's Sony who's at fault. Apparently Sony will verify my CC is authorized for purchases, but when it comes to actually making the purchase will crash and burn.

I've had this problem with multiple cards, and it isn't always as simple as "enter it exactly like in your billing statement." One time, it only worked when I swapped the first two lines. For another card, it only worked without punctuation.

I suspect it has to exactly match the way your address is formatted in the PSN database, and that they have been lax in making sure that all those addresses were put into the database with the same formatting rules.

That was what my issue was. I kept trying a card that I knew worked and it was simply a matter of trying the billing address different ways. Eventually I found the combo that worked. It seems to random and very stupid.

Sorry jpub, I've never had a problem adding funds or making purchases with PSN. I hope Sony works out whatever the problem is.

A lot of sites and services now validate your address and reformat it as necessary. Every service should do this.

My netflix has the shitty 2.01 menu and I can't change it. It's goddam awful.

Haven't had an issue adding money to the wallet; however, I was prompted to use my "adult code" to watch a movie I bought (Get him to the Greek) - which is the first time I ever saw it. The default password was 0000, which I guessed after an hour of annoyance.
