View Full Version : The Zombie Tron Episode

We're aiming for the head at the following link (http://www.ingamechat.net/audio/IGC20110120.mp3).

After what seems to me to have been an awfully long break from the show, I've come round to participate in the conversation once again. The hosts may have kept the faith, if not the schedule, but things will only be right when we're restored to full strength, and Jeremy has made sure that won't happen for at least another week.

As for content, you can expect a fair amount of Matt bashing and the banging of some familiar drums as I try to rediscover my role and my friends begin to regret my return. Otherwise, it's business as usual. Here's hoping we meet expectations.

I was about to send a tweet asking when the episode was going up, then I got a link to this.

All I have to say is, it's about damn time! Also, thank you.

Edit: Hopefully it'll pop up on iTunes in a bit, it will definitely be the first thing I listen to at work tonight.

I think the reason to have played ME before ME2 is that the first game establishes the universe, it does some great world building. The particulars of the story aren't that important to ME2, it's more important to know about the things and places the stories in both games affect. Part of the reason I like both games so much is because I like the universe so I enjoy just being in it and exploring it, but ME2 assumes you already know quite a lot since the first game took more time to establish all the races and their relationships.

I don't know if you've started playing it yet Arjay, but if you haven't I recommend not playing as a Soldier. It's not a bad class but it's very straight forward, they pretty much only use guns. I'd recommend playing a Sentinel or an Adept because they make the game more than just a standard shooter. Also, it's a really fun and rewarding game to go back and try on a harder difficulty! It's the type of game where you appreciate it more on higher difficulties where you're forced to master the combat, as opposed to a game that doesn't have any hidden depth to discover and just becomes frustrating.

Oh, that's weird, it's in http://www.ingamechat.net/?feed=rss2, but not http://www.ingamechat.net/?feed=podcast. Is this a temporary glitch or should I be using the rss2 feed?

Yeah, I really can't figure out why that is. I can't see anything different between our previous episode and this episode as far as the posting of it is concerned. Hopefully Strax and James are taking a look into it.

I could just download the MP3, but I like to keep my podcasts in the iTunes queue so I can keep them straight. I'll be patient.

Least surprising part of the episode was the fact that Matt found the most exciting thing on a new console (3DS) was the ability to play an old game!

Late to the party I know and unlikely to be a popular opinion, but the game that disappointed me most in 2010 was Uncharted 2. It wasn't a bad game, but after all the hype I was expecting more.

I thought the single player campaign of Black Ops was at least an improvement on MW2, but the lack of co-op was a poor show.

Not that I didn't enjoy it, because I really did, but my most disappointing game was Fable 3. That thing just had problems that it shouldn't have had, and an ending that just about didn't exist. The net experience always bums me out when I think about the fun parts. :(

How is Fable 3 running now anyways? I haven't fired it up since the within the week it launched. I had been meaning to play through it at least just to get story bits but haven't really thought of it enough to do so.

They fixed the bugs, but I wouldn't say the performance was dramatically improved. Then again, I haven't played it since I beat it and I think they released more patches afterwards.

Since the thread isn't up for the next episode. I'm curious how much you talked about Dead Space 2, since I want to hear everyone's thoughts on a specific section. But don't want to post that question without knowing how far everyone got in the game.

I find it more convenient to just d/l the files, but if using iTunes helps you out it's the least thing I can do :)

Yeah I hear ya, but 9 times out of 10 I am not at home, and download things via my pc/psp, also, I don't have nor plan to ever have an apple device so....

Hopefully downloads through the RSS/Site help you guys out in some way.
