Just watched Benders Game:
Futuramas Back! More, I demand more. It's easily the best of the movies, funny all the way through.

Unfortunately the next film is the last planned movie, and it should wrap up the series nicely from what I hear. But, word is the series may be renewed, lets just hope that it doesn't go the way Family Guy's resurrection did.

All signs point to no, if and when it gets renewed for a proper season I think it'll be good.

Goddamnit, I haven't seen it yet. I was planning on picking it up at Best Buy today, but I ran out of time. Good to hear you enjoyed it.
I know you said you liked Bender's Game the best, but, out of curiosity, between Bender's Big Score and Beast with a Billion Backs, which did you like better?

I just watched it tonight, and gotta say, I was dissappointed. This was the first of the feature films so far that I didn't love. Bender's Big Score blew me away and I thoroughly enjoyed Beast With a Billion backs, but this one... just didn't work. The stark contrast between the two halves of the movie made the first half feel more or less irrelevant except insofar as it allowed for the second half, which, in my opinion, wasn't all that great to begin with. It just felt far to arbitrary and contrived (which of course it is, but it shouldn't FEEL that way) and I was completely ready to disregard the big "twist" of the movie. All and I all I thought it was too much of weak send-up of DnD and fantasy in general, which really got in the way of its Futurama-ness. I absolutely adore Futurama, so here's hoping that it gets better with the next film and the series gets renewed.

These movies movies would be re-edited into episodes and air on Comedy Central or Adul Swim(I don't remember which)

really? i think the movies degraded in quality from the first one, which was really funny.
i fell asleep near the end of the second one which i thought was boring, and i barely laughed once during benders game.

Oh, no. This is how I felt about the first two as well.
I loved the first one and thought it was fantastic. The second one wasn't really funny to me, and, yeah, I got a little bored I think. This doesn't bode well for my opinion of the third. I suppose I'd have a better chance of liking it if I enjoyed D&D. :(

I thought that Futurama was supposed to have new episodes airing on Comedy Central starting next year.

I love Futurama. It is something my son and I watch all the time although he still calls it the "gold robot show". :D
I watched the MegaFonzies episode yesterday and thought of Rini. Awwwww. :D
But, as a die hard fan, I have to say the movies have been a bit disappointing. Funny in parts but overall, Futurama doesn't translate well to movie format. Maybe it's because they are still doing the fan service thing and trying to cram in every character and reference from the original series. I'm still trying to put my finger on it.
Overall, I will pick up this one as I have to. It's Futurama! I just hope it's better than the first two.

Basically the movies are 3-4 episodes collected together. They may work in smaller doses, but they do not as a whole.

Didn't even know another movie was coming.

Sigh. Bender's Game was poised to be the "wittiest" (on the title alone) of the three titles that got better after each release, but they dropped the dark matter balls on this one. Story wasn't cohesive, little-to-no aliens and I got an overall hippy trippy vibe from it. The "Game" part just felt tacked on. It was a little funny, but I got dazed and confused afterwards.
I wished the game part took place in VR as opposed to "alt. dimension." Where's the future in that?
Billionbacks is best so far. Then Big Score.

I enjoyed the movies, but I didn't love them as much as the 'old' episodes. It felt like they were struggling to find a way to string together 4 disparate episodes rather than telling one story.
And the first 2 movies have already aired on Comedy Central, so 'Bender's Game' should show up on the net in about 3 months.

I would rather 4 single new episodes; But it wouldn't feel as epic. But felt like the mom slapping bit got over used. After that, who needs epic. Or shoot for smaller two part arcs.
