Windows Phone 7 Games

So, I've bought a slew of Windows Phone 7 games.

Definitely a few "musts" when you get your phone:


Flight Control (obviously)
Fruit Ninja (much more fun than I thought it would be
Flowerz (free and engrossing match 3 game)
CarneyVale (fun and interesting collection/physics game)
de Blob Revolution (quick puzzler game)
The Harvest (tap and go action RPG game)


Of course, all of the above games are XBox Live games that get you up to 200 achievements per game as well!

Reason for this post, though, is the release of Zombies! The boardgame brought to life on the mobile platform. It plays and looks great! Hard, though.

Need to add I Dig It to the must have games.

It's I Dig It: Expeditions for the iPhone which I really loved. The control actually feels a little better in this game (which may be due to the larger screen) and there are XBLA achievements ;)

I strongly recommend checking out "Shuriken Ninja". It's free, simple, and a hell of a lot of fun. I beat it last night and started working on gold starring every level. Strongly recommended, especially at it's price point!

Was just playing Pro Evolution Soccer and was very pleasantly surprised at how good a game it was.

i wanted a windows 7 phone to play xbla games and specifically Zombies!!! but didn't think i needed another gaming device.

Just an update on what I'm playing lately:

Plants vs. Zombies...yes, excellent on the phone
GeoDefense...great on iPhone, love it here as well
Bejeweled. Game of the week, so it's on sale. Solid as usual.

biosc1, which Windows Phone do you have? I like the idea of them, and I really like what Mango is showing, but I dislike the lack of multitasking until then. And I assume that some new hardware will come out with Mango (after Nokia showed the buttonless Sea Ray).

I have the Samsung Focus.

Lack of multitasking hasn't been much of an issue even though I was used to it with my cracked iPhone 3G back in the day. I'm not sure I really can think of many situations where I need it as much as I used to because the phone is much faster than my 3G was, so restoring from a saved state doesn't take much time for games. Only annoying with streaming services.

Nokia (and, I believe HTC) are releasing newer hardware with the Mango update, what many call Windows Phone 7.5.

Games look fun though - I had no idea they had achievements... Jeez, my gamer-score-whoreness has trickled over to my fukkin cell phone now... Ugh.

Actually not a bad game. I'm having fun even if it's mindless. It's very pretty.
