With the Chrome beta, every time I try to go directly to my GMail (not by clicking "view in GMail" from within an email shown on the homepage widget thing), it loads, shows my inbox for a split-second, and then goes back to the loading screen, with the blue bar about 5 pixels away from being full. It then proceeds to just sit there. Anyone else have this problem?

There's your problem.
Without testing any other browser, that's what I assumed it was, but I was hoping to be able to find a solution.

Mine did this for a while and the culprit turned out to be one of my plug-ins (Flash, maybe?). After I removed and reinstalled the plug-in, everything was back to normal.

After going through my plugins and disabling them one by one, the one that fixes my problem is "Google Gears". Now to just find out how to remove it...
EDIT: That was strange. I manually removed the .dll, since Chrome doesn't seem to have a built-in plugin-remover, but it didn't help the email problem. I then went to the Google Gears page to reinstall it, but there was no option to download/install. I then went to my recycle bin and restored the .dll, and now the email works.
Computers are strange.
