OK I may or may have not asked about this before but I am having problems connecting to the internet when using my iPod touch. I've done everything I can think of. I've reset the modem, the router, changed my router settings using the software that came with the router, and even went online and tried messing with the routers settings.
I am now officially at my wits end. But I need some advice because an iPod that can't connect to the internet and DL apps and watch Youtube videos is basically a paper weight to me.

What model/brand router do you have? I've had Apple products forever but have had my share of issues with routers.

The Linksys WRT120N. It's been an off and on kinda thing with the old iPod. Just recently it stopped working with the router completely.

Hmm sounds irritating. Obviously you can sync your iPod to a PC/Mac with USB and iTunes. In fact, there's no real other way to get your podcasts, music, photos, and videos on there (other than purchasing music directly on the store or manually downloading individual podcast episodes). I agree that not having direct internet access does reduce the usefulness a bit.
Do you have any other wireless devices? For example DS/PSP? Another thing would be to plug your computer into the network via ethernet and then use it's wireless to create a secondary wireless network. Then test and see if that works.

Is it the iPod itself? have you tried restoring factory settings? I think I might have had the same problem with mine some time ago and that fixed it.

Nah no DS/PSP, just a laptop. I guess I could try the secondary netwrk thing... just don't know how to do that...

Um, stupid question, but how would I go about doing that? Man this thread is showing me how much of techno dunce I am.

Connect your iPod to your pc and open iTunes. Then Select your iPod from the devices section on the left.
You should see a Restore option in the "version" section in the middle.

I started having weird connection issues with my iPod Touch a few months back, then last week the wireless functionality seemed to die completely; it now says "Wifi unavailable" in place of the normal toggle. I've not had a chance to restore it yet as I'm still away from home, but I thought I should mention it as it may be a sign of the wifi going FUBAR.

Moving this over to the tech forum, it's a bit more appropriate over there.
