By way of Cubed3 (http://www.cubed3.com/news/10995), High Voltage Software is looking into developing games of various genres for Nintendo Wii.

IW: Have you considered, and is there a possibility of high quality RPG’s for the Wii from HVS in the future? That is another area on the Wii that is sorely lacking.

EN: That really is another area that can use a shot in the arm I feel. Keep your eyes peeled because in the near future we’ll be announcing some other titles that we’ve already got underway in development. We feel that there are a number of genres that are poorly represented on the Wii for core gamers. We want to do games that are high quality. You know, that’s what we are. I think it’s a shame for what is our personal favorite system to be so underrepresented when it comes to core gamers.

This is also traced back to both Nintendo Everything (http://www.nintendoeverything.com/?p=5869) and Wiirincontrol (http://wiirincontrol.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=114:rpgs-for-wii-by-high-voltage-software-qkeep-your-eyes-peeledq&catid=16:team-news&Itemid=107). The quoted interview I've used comes from Wiirincontrol.

Not at all related to the thread topic, but this saves me the trouble of having to waste an unnecessary thread. (GoNintendo (http://gonintendo.com/?p=82925))

High Voltage Software, Inc., the independent developer behind the upcoming Wii first-person shooter The Conduit, today announced that it will host a booth at next month’s Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3), where visitors will have a chance to play the studio’s latest title. The company has chosen E3 as the venue to debut a previously unannounced IP behind closed doors to select media representatives.

“2009 is already shaping up to be a groundbreaking year for this studio,” said Kerry J. Ganofsky, CEO and founder of High Voltage Software. “The release of The Conduit is just around the corner and there is more to come. We feel that E3 is the perfect opportunity to show off our hard work and give a taste of our very latest project.”

“I won’t say much about our new property until we unveil it at E3,” said Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer of High Voltage Software. “But I can guarantee that we are continuing to push our technology to the absolute limit in order to deliver experiences that are beyond jaw-dropping.”

High Voltage Software’s booth will be located in the first row of the West Hall, Booth 4500. 2009 marks the first year for High Voltage Software as an E3 exhibitor. Booth hours will match those of the trade show, from Tuesday, June 2, through Thursday, June 4. Visitors at the booth will have a chance to play the final version of The Conduit, which is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Wii on June 23. The Conduit received a number of awards at last year’s E3, including Best Overall Wii Game from IGN.com and Gametrailers.com.

The Conduit came out of nowhere when I first laid eyes on it, so I'm excited to see what High Voltage will announce at E3 2009. :D
