View Full Version : I've got 800 MSP burnin' a hole in my pocket...

...and the Internet is probably getting turned off here today, as the movers will be putting this PC into storage sometime tomorrow.

Anyway, my situation is this:

I've got 970 MSP right now and I'm not sure what to pick up off of XLA. I've already picked up Braid, Castlevania: SOTN, Castle Crashers, Duke Nukem 3-D, Stubbs the Zombie, Destroy All Humans!, Streets of Rage 2, Golden Axe, Uno, Texas Hold 'Em, Super Puzzle Fighter HD, Samurai Shodown II, Penny Arcade Vol. 1, and Mega Man 9.

Would you recommend any of the following?

Fatal Fury Special - 400 MSP
Metal Slug 3 - 800 MSP
Sonic the Hedgehog - 400 MSP
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - 400 MSP
Alien Hominid - 800 MSP

Or, would you recommend something not listed here? I'm just curious. Part of me is thinking that I might just be able to use these points towards Penny Arcade Vol. 2, but right now I have no idea as to when that will be released (or if I'll be in the country when it's released).

You should check out Cloning Clyde. That game was awesome.

I was thinkin' about that one too (in addition to the titles I also mentioned). Pretty neat?

Oh yeah, another vote for goold ol' Clyde. Everyone should at least check out the demo.

Referring to your original list, though, I'd say Alien Hominid but only if you plan to play co-op. That game can be brutal and unforgiving.

Interesting. That's good to know. Originally I'd not really had that much of an interest in Alien Hominid, but after playing (and really liking) Castle Crashers I figured it might be pretty fun too.

I'm not really sure about the whole multiplayer part of it, as I'll be out of the country and without access to Xbox Live. I suppose I could always have someone else play it there with me on my console, though. Right?

It is a lot of fun, but the gameplay is quite different. Give the demo a spin and see if you like it. And yes, I'm nearly positive that local co-op is doable.

Hmm, I'd go with out of that list....Metal Slug 3. Was a big fan of Metal Slug in my day so, I'd heartily recommend it to anyone. But if you want to get the most out of your points go cheap and get Sonic the Hedgehog and you'll still have some left for at least one more game.

Rez HD gets my vote. If you haven't played it on DC then it is a no brainer.

Geometry wars 2 is a must have. Fatal fury isn't really worth it. That game is brutal even on the easiest difficulty. I only play it with my room mates.

Metal Slug 3 is pretty good if you like Metal Slug.

Alien Hominid is like Metal Slug, but made by the Behemoth. It's also OMGWTFBBQ hard.
