It's been far too long since we've seen a new real SSX game, the series peaked at the awesome SSX 3. Do want.
I hope this is not going to be a motion control game. I loved SSX Tricky and was very happy using the controller with it.

I'm not sure what people liked about Tricky. It was the same thing as SSX with a new soundtrack and backwards tracks.

There were at least 2 new courses, new boost levels, the existing tracks were completely redone in most places, and there were new characters. It's not as good as SSX3, but it was still a shitload of fun.

Yeh but they still charged you full price for weak new content. I was the sucker thinking it was 100% all new and part of the reason why Tricky doesn't sit high on the praise chart for me.

It was mostly new, though, the tracks were seriously redesigned. It was also meant to be the first game out on the GC and XBOX as those weren't around when the original SSX came out. I enjoyed it all the same, think of it as the SSX version of a SF Champions Edition, but with more substantial changes.
Of course, why you'd play SSX on either of those systems is beyond me, the whole game was designed with the 4 shoulder buttons in mind. I'd imagine it'd be damn near unplayable on those other two controllers.

Hell! Yes! I poured more hours into SSX3 than some major RPGs. Bring on a true sequel!

Wow, I was just listening to the Tricky soundtrack a few days ago. This is great news.

No motion crap, no wii only version = sale
Come on, just give me 4 on a HD console, and forget On Tour ever happened.

SSX Tricky is how I got my wife hooked on video games, so this would be a welcome return.

I'm going to go against the grain and hope that this is a Kinect game. Only because I'm an asshole and absolutely despise fun.
I haven't played an SSX game since 2, and would really enjoy a new entry. The one thing I'm really hoping for (other than no motion controls), is split-screen, local multiplayer. The lack of split-screen is why I didn't buy Pure, and would be a huge factor in my decision to buy this.

Go play 3 in the meantime. It's really fucking good and you can probably snag it for sub $5 on Glyde. (you can.... just checked.. $2.00 in excellent condition).

Oh, and it's on the 360 BC list. I might just give that a shot.

I would have liked 3 better if they didn't force you to ski down the mountain as a replacement for menus. It was so much slower and more cumbersome, especially when you missed the thing you wanted to enter. A friend once told me that you could actually use a menu to teleport your boarder to the events you wanted to enter, but I had already sent my rental back. So, was he right?
