So, I've been trying to use my 360 on my wireless network tonight, and it just won't work. It used to, but it was a bit temperamental (the connection would get shittier and shittier until the fucker would just drop and I'd get signed out). Well, tonight it just straight refused to sign on (except for one tiny 5 minute interval). When I try to connect it says that it can't get an IP address.
I'm using an old Belkin router, but I really don't think it's the router's fault. My PS3 and laptop have no problem connecting to the router (and thus, have no problem getting an IP address from it). I followed all of Microsoft's stupid little hints (like restoring the factory defaults and allowing the MAC address), but nothing. The only one I didn't follow was assigning a static IP because I don't really know what I'm doing.
Any ideas? I'm using the old-school style of Xbox Wireless Internet Adapter (the white and gray with only one antenna)...that's not the problem, right? I mean, the dumb thing detects the network, it just says I can't get on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
