Seems like quite a few people picked up L4D2 during the recent sale (myself included), so I thought I'd start a thread to help organize some games. This is initially for folks looking to play on normal difficulty in a non-competitive, low pressure environment. We may graduate up to higher difficulty levels later.

Being a high level slacker, I'm available to play most nights. So, when are you game?

My schedule is pretty random, as far as free time in the evenings goes. However, I'd definitely like to play with some L4D2 newbies like myself.

I'm in. I've been playing L4D1 on normal and am through 3/4s of the campaigns but I'm pretty terrible. I consistently take the most damage...

But yeah, would absolutely love to play.

Let me know when you're playing, Spectre. :) I'm an L4D2 vet but I'll play in, especially on normal, when my suicidal melee tendencies tend to not matter as much. :D

Will do, but I can say that my schedule's going depend a lot on when other people are playing. I'm having the worst time finding a game so far. Thus the thread. :)

And that sounds suspiciously like my game plan... there's something mighty damn addictive about sprinting into groups of zombies and hacking their limbs off with a katana.

Spectre, feel free to hit me up. I'm willing to play a few games on normal to get people up to speed.

Anytime you see me online on Steam - which is a lot - I'm probably game for a game.

Count me in. I can handle harder difficulties, I think, but playing with you and Liquid on a team on Normal would be a treat :p

The answer to everything in life is the katana.

Tank? Katana.
Hunter? Katana.
Boomer? KATANA!

I'm busy this weekend though, but hopefully soon. :)

I'm out of practice, so I'd be game.

Nice tags for the thread btw.

Anyone wants to run through the campaigns add me as well, I'm up for anything from a casual, "take time to read the graffiti and catch the little plot clues" runs on normal, to helping get people their Expert achievements, I've all the Expert and Expert + Realism already so I won't mind taking one for the team to get people through :p

I've had the game for a long time but haven't played nearly as much as I'd like. I'm totally game. My schedule would be after 10:30 eastern time. (8:30 mountain)

Apparently I was asleep the last time you guys invited me. Whoops! I'll do my best to set myself as "away" when I'm not around, rather than give the impression that I'm being antisocial :p

Yeah, nice try. We know you hate us. Don't be coy.

On that note, anyone up for a game? I've got a few hours to kill.

Anytime you see me on Steam is worth an invite. Most of the time I'll be down for a game. I've played a bit of the first one, but am not all that great.

Currently I have a pretty bad mic and might as well say I have no mic, but I'm good at listening.

Looks like I won't be playing much of anything for a while. Yesterday afternoon, I began seeing screen corruption and lock-ups consistent with overheating. After inspecting my 9800 GT's fan assembly, rolling back drivers, and jacking the fan up to 100% output, nothing corrected the issue. Worse yet, the card never detected anything above 78° C, which should be well within operating temperatures.

I'll continue monkeying with it, but I don't expect anything to make a difference; I think the hardware's just dying, so I yanked the card and am now using onboard graphics. This means my gaming performance has gone from shaky but playable to utterly pathetic.

So... guess there's no time to start writing the next book like the present. Slay a few zombies for me.

If I'm not away/busy on Steam, there's a good chance I'll want to play. Just hit me up.
