I really hated the swallows. Just a boring area to explore and not much to look at. And how true. No point to half of the game. They really lost their way in this game while making it. They could have done so much more with the horse, the boat and the factions.

The horse in fact annoyed me so much, especially after the first horse race, that I just quit using it altogether and didn't follow a single other horse race quest line. I was really spoiled after the rather brilliant horse and mount implementation in Sacred 2. These devs really don't learn from each other, I guess. I just found a good pair of speed boots, and didn't look back. The portable teleport platforms, a really nice touch, also make the horses pointless.

There are other boats? I didn't see anything besides the one you buy. Was hoping to see more since it is easy to lose your boat since it doesn't have a marker on the map. Another missed opportunity.

I have not seen other boats. But the boat is a little pointless, since even a warrior with only 1 point in alchemy can make plenty of long lasting water walk potions. Combine them with boots of speed and the ability to run in a straight line, and the boat becomes.... redundant. I believe the main ingredient is werebeast spines.

I finished the game today with 1000/1000. The ending battle was AWFUL! Worse than the Risen ending even. Ugh. Becomes an FPS with overly twitchy aim. Divinity II had a fantastic ending by comparison... can't wait to see what they do with it for Dragon Knight Saga.

There's a small part of me that wants to go back and play this. But that's just cause I bought it. The rest of me knows I won't play TW2 again. Just ran out of steam in Ch2.

Sort of.... I won their big sweepstakes. But I loved the game even before that. I just think it is an often overlooked gem that too many people are ignorant about or dismiss too quickly.
Also, I want to reward Atlus for brining the expanded, updated version to the US on 360 after CDV dropped the ball. I want to generate as many sales for Divinity II: The Dragon Knight saga as possible. Coming in April!

I don't know. I can't pay retail again for the version that should have come out in the first place. Now if they did what The Witcher did, and allow me to DL for free the update because I purchased the original, that would be nice. I would then give it another go. But the original Divinity 2 was just not that good. The whole point is being a dragon and they did not take any advantage of that. The dragon portions were bland and once you can turn into a dragon, you have no idea what to do.
Anyways, back to TW2, I forgot about the walk on water potions I have. I should just make a bunch and go for a long walk on water;)

Um...what game were you playing? Maybe it was different if not on a pc...but the icons were 10 times too big in the inventory...the quest log was next useless due to the way it was set up....it just was not user friendly at all.

I completely disagree. Turning into a dragon was definitely NOT the whole point of the game, and the goals as a dragon were never unclear. When you did become a dragon, I thought it was very enjoyable. But you know, you're entitled to your opinion. All I know is that I enjoyed it overall much more than Two Worlds II.

My opinion is that my expectations for both TW2 and Divinity 2 were too high. Both games to me were a disappointment. Still some enjoyment was had, but I thought the games would be much better. Maybe if Divinity 2: The Dragon Knight Saga is on sale on Steam for $5 or less, I may consider the purchase.

Thats the thing with european games, they tend to have great ideas but are poorly implemented in design.

TW2 is awesomely implemented pretty much across the board, with voice work being the notable exception. I suppose you could nitpick that the complexities of the melee combat system can be shortcut by dual-wielding two fast weapons, but then again it can also be combat by just playing mage or ranger. :P
I played all the way through TW2. Playing D2:DKS I got bored after a couple hours and moved on to more entertaining stuff. Just goes to show that YMMV.

Las Vegas, April 15th 2011 – The RPG-spectacle continues! With “Pirates of The Flying Fortress”, the creators of “Two Worlds II” clear the way for the highly anticipated upgrade for the role playing hit. More than 2.5 million games sold worldwide, numerous awards and a huge fan community are powerful arguments for yet another exciting trip to Antaloor, abducting you this time into the gloomy pirate world! The story plunges the player headlong into an adventure that is more than astonishing! The good old “Two Worlds” atmosphere waits, which is yet quite different this time around. Exotic flair, new enemies, new settings and new weapons – all fans are in for a shocking surprise!
The developers have also once again taken player feedback to heart, massively adding more in terms of game play: In addition to thunder and rain storms, gamers can look forward to dozens of new weapons, impact-oriented horse armor, totally new breeds, fresh boss opponents as well as brand spanking new animations in the cut-scene and in-game dialogs!
“Pirates of the Flying Fortress” will launch in Antaloor as a multi-platform title in September 2011! The extensive single player history as well as several brand new multiplayer maps will then be launched.
come on september

I can't find the expansion anywhere states side besides steam. My core game was an import from GoGamer (which is no longer around) and I can't get it integrated into steam. So unless I buy the game again on steam, I can't seem to get the expansion. I would totally buy it if I could reasonably get it. If a steam sale bundles them for under $10, I'll go that route.

2400 points it's too rich for my blood. (referring to the 360 version) I'll grab it sooner or later though.

Well this did go on sale during the holiday Steam sale. I picked up all Two Worlds has to offer on Steam. Played through Two Worlds and Two Worlds 2 before trying Flying Fortress. Besides playing as a mage this time around, there was little reason to go back to both games. Nothing new to do and some of the more tedious levels are that more tedious a second time through. Still like Two Worlds 1 more than 2. Hoping Flying Fortress was worth the player import and money for TW1 and 2. A mage helping pirates, how odd. So far I have noticed the NPCs look better than my own character. Higher res textures and more detailed outfits.
So has anybody else trying Flying Fortress?

I think 2 had more polish but they abandoned some of the better mechanics of 1. Shame.
I haven't been paying close attention to the 360 DLC version.

Pirates has been pretty good so far. The dungeons actually have some variation. There doesn't appear to be any real towns though, so it is a quiet expansion.

Well I escaped, and that is it. Happy ending and all that then the credits roll. It did not appear to let me keep playing like Two Worlds 2. There was an interesting structure that I could not appear to explore. Kept hoping the story would lead me there. Anyways, a decent expansion and worth about $10 or so.
