PAX Magical Mystery Tour (aka Tour of Awesome Food)

As many of you well know, I didn't bother with PAX last year (ok, maybe I did :D). Instead, I dragged people all over hell's half acre in search of the culinary delights. It makes for an interesting diversion from the sweaty crowds, provides a mini-tour of Seattle, and just plain fucking tastes good.

This year I will be doing the same (AND not making the mistake of double-booking on top of a Voodoo Donut order that nobody ended up eating as a result).

Among the likely foodstuffs to be had:

Sandwiches of varying types. Including cured meats, pulled pork, reubens, and Croque Madames. (different days) Delicious hamburgers. Pub food. Italian. Hearty breakfasts.

other possibilities include dim sum, soul food, and pizza.

Also, daily post-PAX desserts may be on the menu. :D


Those who are interested, will have to keep an eye on where I'm wandering. ;)

Alright, I may push ahead to making reservations for Dim Sum @ Friday like we did last year. I'm assuming you and Pronoun. Anyone else better chime in before late tomorrow morning. ;)

Burgers will probably be the same place, probably some lunchtime another day, but we'll see how it's going. It's definitely on the to-do list. :)

Jade Garden, International District. Kind of a hike, or hitch a ride. I may or may not have room in my car (depends on how cozy you feel like getting w/ Goro and Pronoun in a little Subaru) :o

It's Cantonese Style (as opposed to Hong Kong style) which means the place is a little ghetto, the food's not elaborately presented, but it's still quite delicious and cheap compared to HK style joints. :D

I've been to some pretty hole in the wall Dim Sum joints before, no worries. I'll probably have to find a way down there as I'm travelling with 3 or 4 people. I'll send you my number and try and stay in touch while I'm there.

Yeah on second thought, I doubt I will make it. The Q&A doesn't end until 1245, and I doubt a bus will get me there quickly enough. I son't have the cash to spare for a Taxi, so we'll probably have to meet at another time.

Looks like I'll be making another mad dash to the Capcom Booth (http://www.capcom-unity.com/snow_infernus/blog/2010/09/01/capcom_returns_to_pax_west_2010). Some pretty nice swag, including MegaMan Universe Headbands and Marvel v. Capcom 3 t-shirts. Though I'll gladly go to that one second since I'm really interested in Uber.
