So far we've had Aerosmith and AC/DC and now we've got Metallica and The Beatles on the way. What bands do you think should get the full game treatment?

Some that I would like to see :

Led Zeppelin
Megadeth
Iron Maiden
Nine Inch Nails

Blue

Some might have said the same for The Beatles.....but Zep is more of a sure thing that it won't happen.

Rolling Stones is about the only other band I can think of with a large enough library to justify it.

But for fun, CCR.

For a real answer, I'd toss out Queen as Lars said followed up with some Muse perhaps.

Yes, because Zep thinks that it's best for their master tracks sit there doing nothing than to record them onto another form of media.

Even though many songs would be boring or nonexistent for some instruments, I think there is enough there to have a lot of fun. You could get your parents to play!

It would take a band with a huge following and large category.

U2
Zeppelin
Queen

I honestly think it defeats the purpose of these games though. I want variety in the music I play when I start up Rock Band. Playing 60 Beatles songs in a row will get boring.

Less so than any other band - the Beatles sounded like totally different bands from album to album.

Wait... have the Beatles finally gotten a song in one of these games?

The Beatles are getting their own game, apparently.

Pink Floyd
Zeppelin
Queen
Muse
CCR

honorable mention, but not nearly enough tracks to be feasible: Wolfmother
And they partially broke up before they even got their 2nd album out...so I'm not sure how that will work out.

Sandman

It might be a stretch but I think Guns N Roses could get a full game....especially with their older material.

Absolutely. I'm not really a fan anymore, but there's no denying the awesomeness they used to command.

How did their most recent album turn out? The wife likes the old GnR, but i don't pay that much attention to them anymore. Mostly because I don't care for Axel (surprise, surprise)

I am one of the people who think that the single band idea is stupid. I may get the Beatles, but only because their music has a great variety, but that's the only group I could see buying.

November 23rd is the date for it....I haven't heard any songs from it yet though.

NONE! Just release big packs of downloadable content or something and let me pick the songs I want. I absolutely love AC/DC, but I'll be damned if I'm going to buy a new game just to play their stuff.

Part of the fun of Rock Band and Guitar Hero are playing all sorts of different, awesome songs. I get bored playing more than a few songs from the same artist. Variety is the spice of life!

MUSE. I'd actually buy one of those music-thingy games if they had a full set of Muse (I think there is a single Muse track on one of them).

The only ones that I could see happening from a rock standpoint (besides Aerosmith and The Beatles) and would be fun and interesting would be Led Zeppelin and Rush. I would love to see a Pink Floyd one, but there would HAVE to be keyboards.

From a metal standpoint, Iron Maiden obviously comes to mind since they have such an expansive catalog and never sold out (unlike Megadeth and Metallica) so there isn't really anything god awful.

These are all made with the thought that it'd be more like Guitar Hero:Aerosmith in that there would be similar bands on the setlist and they'd take you through the band's career and all that jazz.

There's many bands that could be chosen, these are just the one's I feel both deserve it and they could be fun with multitudes of difficulty.

NIN full game? Really? Most of their stuff is pretty damn boring on bass and guitar.

I second Iron Maiden and would also suggest Sabbath.

Yeah, definitely CCR. Probably never happen though...I cant even find a CCR t-shirt.

For this same reason, you could make a strong argument for The Beach Boys. Their "feud" with The Beatles produced some really great, innovative stuff.

I'd like to second (really? only second? :() Tool.

Also, Mr. Bungle, and simply because I love them, Alice In Chains.

I also agree with Zep, Stones, CCR, and Pink Floyd. Maybe even the Eagles. But really, I'd just like more songs from all of these artists in my current game rather than a whole new disc.

Bring me the Who collection any day. Keep all of these incompatible Guitar Hero and Rock Band titles away. What is the point of that AC/DC pack since it will never be sold online, and you will never get to play it online?

Though I doubt anyone would agree with me: Sublime. It's fun and varied enough to give some challenging / interesting songs with some great solo's. Really I just can't get enough Sublime though :P

Que? You can burn the AC/DC tracks to your hard drive and intergrate it into RB/RB 2.

Also, the list of bands that deserve an entire game dedicated soley to their music begins and ends at The Beatles. Maybe Spinal Tap.

They don't have a large enough catalog to warrant a whole disc. I'd love some DLC from them, but they couldn't pull of a game on their own. Maybe a 90s-centric disc with a bunch of different 90s bands on there?

I don't want any full band games. I'd rather download everything for the Rock Band platform. I don't wanna have to go to a store and waste money and resources on a disc and packaging and all that crap.

I'd love a One Hit Wonders (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_hit_wonders#VH1.27s_list_of_.22100_greatest_on e-hit_wonders.22) Rock Band. here's a good starter list:

Los del Río — "Macarena" (1996)
Soft Cell — "Tainted Love" (1982)
Dexys Midnight Runners – "Come On Eileen" (1982)
Right Said Fred — "I'm Too Sexy" (1992)
Toni Basil — "Mickey" (1982)
Baha Men — "Who Let the Dogs Out?" (2000)
Vanilla Ice — "Ice Ice Baby" (1990)
a-ha — "Take On Me" (1985)
Gerardo — "Rico Suave" (1991)
Nena — "99 Luftballons" (1984)

Macarena? Vanilla Ice? Rico Suave?! ON ROCK BAND!? Half of those songs don't even have guitar parts!

If they made a Pantera game though, I'd buy it.

I was going to say the same thing. None deserve their own game. Sorry, stroking egos already huge, isn't a good thing.
Ninja Edit:
Along the same line... I don't think that Metallica EVER deserves a digitally distributed online game. To me, much of RB and GH are a complete fan service. Lars Ulrich has already shown that he doesn't care about his fans,

I agree with Camel and rifter.

None of them do. The point of building a platform is taking advantage of that platform.
