It's on DVD/Blu-Ray now, go buy it! I got the "Collector's Edition" of the DVD and will work my way through the bonuses in between watching the movie multiple times. The Incredible Hulk releases in three weeks, by the way.
And I hear they're negotiating with a prospective director for the Thor movie, but that doesn't have too much to do with the Iron Man DVD.
I made 2 posts already on evav telling people to turn off the bd live or not allowing internet connectivity for blu rays to allow it to play so might as well add one here.
Otherwise you stare at tonys chest peice for at least 20 mins.

Has there been any word on Ant-Man? I want that movie made, and starring either Simon Pegg or Alan Tudyk. (Or both, as different Ant-men!)

IGN (http://movies.ign.com/articles/902/902913p1.html) has a small update. Doesn't look like it'll be here for a while.

I rented it last night, and loved it even more than when I had seen it in the theater. This is one of those movies that makes me happy to have surround sound, because I just can't imagine watching it without it.
Might try to buy it this weekend when I go shopping.

Mmmm, new movie Blu-ray goodness. Must buy for me, especially since I have not seen it yet.

I heard that the BluRay was recalled or something?

Not sure, maybe it has something to do with what Fubl posted above? I will take a wait and see approach regardless. I have lots of things to do, no rush.

Hmm...Here I thought it was just really popular because I couldn't find it yesterday.
Man, I do hate that BD-Live stuff. They haven't done anything with it to wow me yet (yah, I was an HD-DVD supporter). The last Blu-ray I rented, 21, had a BD-Live feature that took long enough to load that I lost interest. In the end, it just seemed like it was giving me the ability to download more trailers.

I bought this as they were putting it out at midnight at Wa-Mart... yet I haven't watched it. Yeah... I know, I need to make some time to watch this badly.
Iron-Man was such an awesome movie. Can't wait to see it in HD.

Both of which are freaking fantastic. I think Iron Man is hands down the most entertaining comic book adaptation I've seen. And if Forgetting Sarah Marshall doesn't make you laugh, someone removed your funny bone.
My wife was even poking at me to buy Iron Man a.s.a.p; she seemed displeased when I said I wasn't in a hurry and was content to get it from relatives as a Christmas present.

Watched it last night with the wife after suffering two plane trips and a one hour wait on the plane for "tech repairs". Overall the movie was good, I thought that Robert Jr. nailed the part of Tony Stark to a tee. I also thought it was good for a first movie. I wanted to see more of the suit in action, but this movie was more about the creation of the suit then what it can fully do.

Saw them both opening weekend in theaters. Must have buys since then. I sometimes distrust relatives and gifts when it comes to these things. I ask for abc edition and I get xyz edition.

Is there a point of buying a DVD now when they're gonna Double-dip around the time of Iron Man 2? See Batman Begins.

If they make a movie about what his suit does, I'm out.
Iron Man only worked because Downey Jr. sold the part of Tony Stark. I'd say maybe a bit more action in the sequel would be ok, but the balance was pretty great for me in Iron Man.

Buying this on DVD (Don't have a HD screen and DVDs look fine on my 24") as soon as I can get my hands on it.

I was one of the few people in my theater who understood what was happening when Nick Fury showed up - but once I said "woo! Nick Fury" a few other people started cheering too. Hopefully watching it at home on DVD will be enjoyable for my wife - she wasn't excited enough about Iron Man to see it with me in theaters (something about finsihing up school so she could start a teaching job... blah blah blah."
Also - for those wondering "
The highly anticipated live action releases include Iron Man 2 (May 7, 2010), Thor (July 16, 2010), The First Avenger: Captain America (May 6, 2011), and The Avengers (July 15, 2011). The distribution agreement also includes Iron Man 3."

For the BD version, there is a title update to fix the BD-Live issue. I bought the movie Tuesday, but never got a chance to watch it until last night. Loading screen of Tony's arc reactor, then "You need to download an update for this movie." Did it all in the movie, and never had to restart.
The Hall of Armor is dead sexy. Full 360 degree views of every major part of the suit, as well as the full suits. And the Deleted/Extended Scenes are also in high def, and include the timestamps from production.

Speaking of this, I can't remember if I've mentioned it before, but digital theatres kick ASS. The sad thing is that the one in my city is the tiny one with small screens that smells funky.
But there is a definite difference in the quality of the picture. I may see an action movie once on the larger screens at the nicer theatre, but if I see it twice, the second time is usually at the crystal clear theatre.

They definitely do. I saw Star Wars Episode 1 in a digital theater - and the projectors were not quite ready yet. Bu the time of Ep2 - sweetness! I wish there were some up here in SLC. Iron man would have to be phenomenal with a digital projector theater.
