After nearly three weeks without even a callback, I finally have a job interview. If I get it, I'll be working at the HMV Gamerbase in London, which is a kind of half game store, half LAN gaming centre place. It's for two months, which is exactly the length of time I need and, unlike all the other temp jobs I've applied for, it looks like it'll be a lot of fun. It'll certainly be busy!

Good luck. NOTE - stay away from the LoEP thread!
Sounds fun. Hope it doesn't make you loathe gamers. Well, at least any more than having to deal with a load of pricks on a gaming forum already has.
Working at Gamestop made me hate Playstation 2 owners. And I was one.

Don't worry, I've already had plenty of experience working with the gaming public. About five years in assorted retail establishments and a short spell doing customer service for Runescape. The horror, the horror!

Oh, and same to you, Giga.

Hell, I loathe gamers and I have never worked in a game store!
Yes, it's not mutually exclusive. But the latter can intensify the hatred like a haughty, nerdy telescope with B.O.

Heh, yesterday when I was buying Starcraft 2, the clerk insisted that Diablo 3 is coming December 12th or something. I didn't have the heart to tell him he was wrong.

Working at Gamestop made me hate Playstation 2 owners. And I was one.Working at EB/GS made me hate a lot more than PS2 owners. My experience all of the consoles had their share of fanboys. We had one very obnoxious Sony guy and two very obnoxious Microsoft guys. It was fun to listen to their chats torture to listen to their supidity if they were in the store at the same time.
