None of his videos work for me. Nice load times there for a few games. I hope it will speed up Fable II's times. I also am still waiting for someone to check to see if it fixes the texture load in times on Gears and Mass Effect.

It probably won't since it's an engine problem. You can see the same issue on PC as well, so improved load times doesn't automatically remove the issue.

The blog Inside the Digital Foundry (http://insidethedigitalfoundry.blogspot.com/2008/10/review-new-xbox-experience-everything.html) has a pretty sweet preview of the new 360 interface. Among all the details they've used the stopwatch to see how HDD installs improve the load times. The improvements ranges from 15sec to 2sec.

I have been back and forth on this, but after these previews I am pretty much sold.
What is rare is to see "positive" reviews. I guess I was expecting a ton of asshats ripping on it but it seems like its being accepted with a positive light.

I guess I'm the only one who actually doesn't want this new Revamp Dashboard... I'm really considering moving my Console Multiplayer to the PS3 now.

I didn't really care about the new interface all that much. I'm looking forward to HDD installations and native support for my 1440x900 widescreen monitor, but that's about it.

I read the second preview in this thread though, ( the Gizmodo one ) and that fucking subway ad pissed me off. It's bad enough that they have ads on the console at all, especially for gold subscribers, but putting an ad the size of the other icons that ( looks like ) you have to scroll over to get to your shit just smacks of exploitation. I've got a place you can put that subway sandwich assholes.

I seriously hate ads.

Just got a mail saying I'm accepted into the preview, should get the update on Saturday at the latest, no NDA as far as I can tell.

I'd say that's a pretty petty reason to do so, especially considering the new blades interface, but it's your choice.

However, with Fallout 3 making my livingroom sound like there's a car engine in it, I'm really wanting this right now.

One of the best things about this is the fact that the blades are still there in nice pop-up style. I really like that.

Because of a new interface??? WUH!?!?

That's like not eating at your fav restaurant anymore because they redecorated.

Also did you consider the fact that the NXE and PS3 are very much alike? You'd be dumping a refined interface for a less refined interface because you don't want it... doesn't any of this sound insane to you?
