A slight gaffe on Nintendo's part (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/02/nintendo-will-publish-the-conduit/) had quite a few of people worried about the prospect of Nintendo publishing High Voltage's upcoming Wii FPS, The Conduit. If you were one of those concerned few, you can rest easy now, as it has finally been announced that Sega will be publishing the title.

"The Conduit is one of the most talked-about Wii games this year and High Voltage Software has only scratched the surface of the game in terms of what they have shown so far," says Simon Jeffery, President of SEGA of America, Inc. "They have proven that graphical and technological innovation can be exciting to the Wii market, and SEGA is thrilled to partner with a team that truly shares our belief in the Wii’s gaming potential beyond the casual market."The Conduit is set to feature online multiplayer utilizing the Wii Speak microphone for online chat, as well as Wii MotionPlus support. It is currently slated for a Spring 2009 release.

It looks great for a game on any system.

I hope the partnership works out well for the both of them. I simply ask that "March 2009" is set in stone. :D

And going by the recent announcement of WiiMotion Plus, I would guess that it will be an optional control scheme, as Nofsinger & Company have made it clear in the past that they wouldn't put anything into The Conduit, if it wasn't going to benefit the game.
