The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is a pretty good thriller. A remake is already in the works for American's who can't read subtitles.

This movie is one of three, btw. There is also:

The Girl Who Played With Fire
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest

They're book adaptations, so you can read the books too.

On top of that, there is a Swedish TV Miniseries, Millenium, which is pretty much the movies plus more development of many of the minor plotlines in the movies.

This week is all about Persona 3 Portable. I'm eagerly awaiting my copy, should be here tomorrow.

Persona 3 Portable is so damn tempting, but I just can't afford it right now. fred, are you going to play through the girl's storyline? I'll be interested to hear what it's like if you are.

Hmm, looks like Crackdown 2 is about the only thing that interests me... but I'll probably pass on that, for now.

Naturally. I've played through that silly game four times at this point. And from what I've heard, the dialogue and events are different enough from the girl's perspective that it feels fairly fresh and new.

Yeah, it's P3P for me. Still waffling over whether I want the UMD+Hat, or Digital+Battery Life.

Since my system's a 3000+6.x, I can't rip anything.

I'm playing through the female storyline this go-round as I still have my umpteenth attempt at the PS2 version to work on if I want to see the guy's storyline. At least this way if I end up wandering away from the game at the 40 hour mark I'll have seen some new things!

Yeah, it's P3P for me. Still waffling over whether I want the UMD+Hat, or Digital+Battery Life. It's all about the hat for me. Plus I have no room left on my 8 GB stick to load on P3P...

Crackdown SOMEDAY. Loved the first, but at this point I'm already swamped with open-world games. I'll get it when it drops in price in a few months maybe.

Nothing again. Guess I'll stick with my Awakenings playthrough.

Crackdown 2 seems like the perfect rental game. I'm just now going through Dragon Age, so that's keeping me happily busy. That and Puzzlequest 2/Beat Hazard.

Beat Hazard makes the eyes bleed, and if I play too much PQ2, I start seeing the gems go boom when I close my eyes. It's like the start of a Silent Hill story.

P3P for me when I verify it can be ripped. I'm tempted to go legit with my firmware. I have not been playing much on the PSP and I have plenty of options to play PSOne games anyway. Heck, I still have my PSOne w/ monitor if I want it to be some what portable. Now that digital downloads are becoming a norm it might be time to go OFW.

I'll hopefully verify it tomorrow. I'm hoping that it won't have any funky extra copy protection like Peace Walker or Birth by Sleep, but we'll see.

I've seen DQIX listed on a couple of release lists. Is that out this week or is that Sunday?

I see July 11th when I look it up, so yeah, that makes it Sunday.

Now I need to fight with all my might not to cave in and get it. I'm just starting DQV and I'll have P3P to keep me busy too. DQIX must wait!

Honestly, just wish it was next week. NCAA Football '11 is out and I will lose my soul to that for the next few months.

Been playing Tournament of Legends and really dig it. it is a cheezy, fun, strategic fighting game where you have to wait for openings.

It is also quite a workout. The main attacks are motion-based, which means your arms will get a real workout.

Will you wear the hat while you play? :D
Nothing for me this week. I'd pick up P3P if I had a PSP.

You don't need the P3P version. You have a PS2 and a copy of P3 very soon. I'm just making sure I have funds to ship this to you. Hoping by the weeks end.

P3P for me and the hat! Also hoping I can get Crackdown 2 from Gamefly despite my goof of not opening a slot for the game sooner.

Maybe for just a brief second. My momma brought me up right: no hats indoors.

Sigh. My local EB doesn't have P3P in yet. More DQV, I guess.

If only there wasn't that sweet, sweet hat. I'd just grab the PSN version instead.

I have my sweet Junpei hat. Now to see if I can get the game running on my PSP. (It doesn't run from the disc, trying to rip and decrypt.)

Mainly for Rein, but for anyone else curious: You can't play P3P from the UMD on current custom firmware, but after ripping, decrypting, and patching with iso_tool 1.51, it seems to play just fine. Doesn't seem to require any extra hoops like some 6.20 games.

And now I can take geeky pleasure in having P1, P2:IS, P2:EP, and P3P all on my PSP simultaneously.

Now I just need to wait for Gemini's Soul Hackers translation...
