I'm sure there will be a better video later.....this one may even get removed. It truly is an epic moment in metal history for these four bands and all these egos to come together for some awesome on stage.

I didn't see anyone from Slayer? Also I'd rather they replace Anthrax with Testament, but that's just me.

They're there I think....didn't see King though but it is kinda one huge clusterfuck.

Damn, if that got any more METAL there would be some kind of universe-destroying singularity.

...and like most metal it was awesome until they started singing.

Does anyone know the order they played in? I'm thinking about catching the encore of this tonight at my local theater but I won't be able to get there until 2 hours into it. I'm willing to miss Anthrax and Slayer but if I miss Megadeth and then have to sit through Slayer it's not worth it to me.

Do people like you get off posting stuff like that in metal threads?

There's so much metal, it shorted my speakers out!

now now, MegaDave sings just fine. Live show like this the mix will be horrible. More about tinnitus than lyrics. :)

What do you listen to? I'd like to poop on it.

I dig the vocals from Metallica and Megadeth. The fact that they're not growling and there's emotion in many of their lyrics helps a lot. Strangely, while Hetfield has understandably lost a bit vocally over the years, I'd say Mustaine has actually gotten better. When I grabbed Sleepwalker for Rock Band, I couldn't tell it was a newer track.

Neither can match Iron Maiden's vocals, but they both carry a tune well enough that it seems silly to try to poop in the pool over them.

Mustaine has gotten significantly better, to the point that if I actually hadn't seen him live I wouldn't believe it. He also turned into a really nice guy at some point in the last 10 years, not the asshole I was expecting to meet. Hetfield on the other hand has always been very hit or miss with me with more misses lately and seems to have become more of an asshole over the years.

I saw this at the theaters and Slayer and Metallica were fucking terrible. Tom Araya had good vocals and the drummer is amazing but both King and Hanneman are GOD AWFUL. They don't even attempt to use scales or common sense in their solos.

Metallica... Well... Lars is fucking washed up, can't keep time. Kirk STILL won't get out of the wah pedal and he is still half-assing his harder solos. James sounded great and Rob did fine.

Megadeth was pretty good, aside from Dave's vocals. There were times where he sounded like a 14 year old girl that was gasping for air. I'm sure that when the DVD comes out he's gonna over-dub his vocals just like he did with many other DVD releases. Everyone else kicked ass.

And last but not least: Anthrax. They were the best of the bunch BY FAR. Great solos, great vocals, great sound in general. The only person I didn't really love was the drummer because his double kicks weren't on point but everyone else made up for it which can't be said for Slayer or Metallica. Seriously, how he fuck can you like Slayer? It's just noise! Maybe '86 Slayer but not NOW Slayer.

I'm glad I spent $18 and not $50 on this shit. If I was to take ONE band outta there it would be Slayer and I'd replace them with the much awesomer Exodus or even Testament.

I saw Testament last year when they opened for Judas Priest and Megadeth. Both utterly owned Testament (and the crowd seemed to agree). Megadeth though were just all-around solid. Great vocals and fantastic guitar work, far better than I expected. I only went to see Priest (and I went home happy with the show) but Megadeth went from average to excellent for me.

I saw Megadeth on their Rust in Piece Anniversary tour and they also kicked ass, mainly because I couldn't hear the vocals. That was last year. Exodus and Testament were also there and they just owned the pit.
