I'm going to copy/paste a support issue I submitted to Rockstar games.

I have Red Dead Redemption on the Xbox 360. Today I downloaded the Outlaws to the End pack and went in to Free Roam to play it. Free Roam loaded fine, and from there I selected the cooperative missions and was taken to the game lobby.

In the lobby, the other players were invisible, and once the mission was about to start, the game hung on the loading screen. The game would continue to load and cycle through the different splash screens, but never started. I could still talk to the other players throughout this, and they were having the same problem.

I had to go back to the dashboard and restart the game. Since then, with the Outlaws to the End pack installed, I cannot even join a Free Roam game. The same thing happens with the loading screen hanging. If I delete the DLC pack, the game works just fine. Re-downloading it brings the same problem however, and clearing the system cache does not fix the issue either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I cannot play the new cooperative missions at all, and cannot even enter Free Roam with the DLC pack installed. Thank you.

Anybody else having this happen? It's really killing my enjoyment.

At least you HAVE the DLC. It's not out on PSN, yet.

Gonna give it a DL in a bit. I'll let you know.

Good luck!

Here's what I managed to do:

Finished a level that had no enemies in it, and my one teammate was invisible.
Left that match to load into another empty match.
Left that match to try to load into another match, only to get that loading bug you had.

Methinks they didn't test this DLC very well before release.

Just tried a non DLC related match (Shootout) and all the players were invisible.

I had a weird issue last night that had Marston's head flash invisible every few seconds. It was just a flashing whenever I rotated the camera. Never saw that before. But this is not with the DLC, just the standard game. I don't know if an update was released or not, I wasn't paying attention when I loaded up the game.

I'm at the point now that I can't play multiplayer at all, regardless of whether I have the DLC installed or not. I'm hoping this is a server-side issue that's going to be ironed out soon.

The bugs seems to be random for me. I just got done with a private co-op session with a friend, and it worked beautifully.

Can't start free roam. So yeah.

Yeah, it seems like the game randomly decides when to work. The actual versus type matches haven't worked at all for me since the DLC, though. Granted, I've only tested Casual so far, and normal matches worked for me before.

Can't start free roam. So yeah.

Same here. It just stays stuck in a loading screen for me.

Well not that I'd wish this crap on you guys, but it's good to know I'm not the only one. :P

You have actually played the game? Right? :p

Buggy mess is an understatement.

...and it's free DLC, there was probably no testing. Ugghh. :(

No testing? It breaks the damn game:D

Quick slightly off-topic question: Does this allow you to play as your MP character or does it make you play as one from the singleplayer campaign?

Does this allow you to play as your MP character...?

Yes.

I tried a round or two late last night just to see if the issues had worked themselves out and I had no problems getting into a co-op mission. No bugs or glitches, so maybe it was server-side? It would make sense as the DLC download is only 12 MB, which likely covers the pre- and post-mission narration and mission settings.

Well seeing as I dont need the DLC to have this issue I might add the DLC to see if it fixes the problem I have been having connecting to any free roam session.

According to Rockstar's twitter feed:

"We've implemented a fix for issues with the DLC that caused problems with Red Dead Redemption multiplayer. It’s now live on both platforms."

We'll see...

At least it didn´t take 2 months.

Yeah, it works fine for me now, and I'm having a blast with it.
