Capcom has unleashed upon us a wave of new screenshots for Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, including characters such as Bison, Chun-Li, DeeJay, Ken and Vega. SFIITHDR is scheduled for release on XBLA and PSN sometime this year.

That re-worked art is really damn pretty. I'm not sure I can bring myself to pay for Street Fighter II again, though. All the nonsense they got into with the different modes each character could be in started to make my head hurt. I just wanted to jump in and play!

I'm stuck on this game. Not sure if I should be interested or not. With SF IV coming, my attention is leaning towards it. And I've already played enough SFII. Had this come out instead of just SFII on XBLA some time ago, I'd have been right on board. Perhaps it just feels like over saturation.

And, to be fair to this game, it's not SFII...it's actually an artistic modification of Super Street Fighter II. Super Street Fighter II with Street Fighter Alpha series graphics. I'm in.

Would of went PSN on this title, then I picked up a hori stick for my 360 when SC IV came out and I don't think I can go back to a D-pad again.

I think MS really needs to get on the whole d-pad issue before this game comes out. It's completely ridiculous that they still haven't touched it. If they simply thinned the well that holds the pad in, like those of us who modded it, it would be leaps and bounds better.

RE the controller being the decision maker...

I don't know about you guys, but I'm most definitely buying the SF:IV arcade stick. Therefore, any other Capcom fighters will be purchased for the same system I am playing SF:IV on (ie: 360, for myself).

I would love to have this game, but it has taken far too long. Also, having played the beta; the HD sprites are really nice, but the fact is that the animation remains the same. Pretty, but just not enough frames. SF:IV looks like hot melted butter in motion....makes this one look like a flip-book.

360 dpad = dealbreaker for this game. The game does look awesome, but I'd have to perform surgery on the controller first. :(

It's awesome that there's a HD version of this now... although I'm feeling like this game is becoming a parody of itself with so many revisions. Just look at the acronym for this one! :eek:

It does look really good, but honestly, with SF IV on it's way, I don't know if SFIITHDR is enough. SF IV looks likely to fill the niche for 2D fighters really well. At least until Guilty Gear releases something new and awesome for me :)

I will NOT buy this game unless the difficulty is improved over the last XBLA SF title. That one was impossible. I'm not a professional, but I'm pretty decent...and that one was just ridiculously hard.

Also, the art style in this one is awesome. SF IV? Ridiculous. Hate it.

The 360 d-pad does suck, too. :(
