$20US was enough to buy a ticket to classic gaming nirvana. Don't miss it next year if you're in the area!
While E3 may be in full swing, the Northwest Pinball and Game Room Show (http://www.nwpinballshow.com/) quietly entered it's fourth year of operation in Seattle last weekend. As you can see in the CoG Flickr set of pictures (http://www.flickr.com/photos/colonyofgamers/sets/72157624143458219/) from the event, every single bit of floor space was packed with machines of every make, model, and era set to free play for the attendees to enjoy.
Miss the old days of shiny silvery balls darting from bumper to bumper? The show had you covered with more than one hundred pinball tables happily clanging away as score displays quickly racked up to higher and higher numbers. Want to relive the coin-op arcade game glory days? Everything from Street Fighter 2 to Crystal Castles was waiting for gamers to pile in in enjoy their retro gaming goodness.

So many machines. So little time. Gauntlet, Galaga, and more!
On top of all of the machines set to free play, present was the unflappable Steve Wiebe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Wiebe), of "King of Kong" fame, hanging out and signing autographs before hosting a Q&A session with the attendees.
I've even been lucky enough to travel to Vegas and visit the Pinball Hall of Fame (http://www.pinballmuseum.org/) and while I still recommend that if you're in the neighborhood, the NW Pinball and Game Room Show is something special to attend in its own right. Hopefully I'll see some of you there next year.
