Sorry if this is a bit late for those who look for this thread (that would you Mr. Spigot, my #1 fan :p). I was wrapped up in writing/editing papers and ran off to my internship. So my Monday started real good...my weekend gaming wasn't much better. I only played some GH III (finished on easy) and some Time Hollow, which is proving to be a very cool game. So Monday is almost over but...WHAT DID YOU PLAY?

Mario Kart Wii. That's about it, I think.

Fable 2... constantly. It's such an amazing game; easily the best RPG in this decade. Probably the best since Fallout 2, and I enjoy the combat more.

Managed to play more than I was hoping to.

Played some Dead Space, Farcry 2 and 1 level of Darwinia.

I knew something was missing! :)

I had a friend over on Friday night, so we played a few things. A bit of the Resistance 2 beta and Mortal Kombat 2 on the PS3. Then, inspired by MK2, we ran through my PS1 collection for fighting games to play. MK Trilogy, Street Fighter EX+a and Soul Edge got some good play. Then, for over an hour, it was nothing but the Motorstorm 2 demo over and over. That game is damn fun.

On Saturday I got LBP, and every other console game ceased to exist. I've played through the first 3 "worlds" and I can't wait to get back to play more. I haven't tried the creation aspect at all yet, but that'll change soon. I'm just having so much fun with the main game I can't get enough of it.

I did get in some time with Wild ARMs XF, I'm over halfway through the last act now. I'm torn, because in a way I want to finish it as soon as possible since I've got Star Ocean sitting on the shelf waiting for me, but on the other hand I've enjoyed the game so damn much I don't want it to end. That's a good problem to have 55+ hours into a game.

Of course, I got my Dwarf Fortress fix in, but in between sessions of that I did have the chance to play some other things.

I picked "the Ship" up because of Steam's $5 weekend deal. It is novel, and fun for a bit, but the verdict is still out on how I feel about it. I'll have to play a bit more, still.

Speaking of Steam, I downloaded "the World of Goo" demo and thought it was great fun. I'll likely wait for a deal on Steam or get it via Wii-ware.

Played a little Hinterland. Pretty buggy and slow to run, but it seems that they are diligently working on them and hopefully there will be a patch, soon. I keep trying to play on Hardcore and always make a stupid mistake, most of the time at 19/20 regions taken. Very annoying.

Just some Civ IV:BTS.

I've been playing Noble difficulty for quite a while, but more often than not, I'll get obsessed with techs and buildings and wonders, and then be mostly outnumbered when someone declares war on me. I have a pretty good Noble game now and then, but I think there's some elements I'm just not playing smart enough. (I never really pay much attention to specialists, and don't usually specialize cities, and usually forget about espionage until other Civs start sabotaging my cities/resources.)

Anyway, this weekend, I went back and played a game and a half on Warlord difficulty, and it was too easy. At least I had two neighboring Civs beg to be my Vassals, and got an easy Space Race victory before anyone else finished the Apollo Project.

Fable 2, loads and loads of Fable 2.

A tiny bit of TF2, just enough to get 4 Heavy achievements without even really trying.

Most of the weekend was occupied by Assassin's Creed. It's a lot of fun, it has a few very minor flaws that are forgivable given the design. I have gone about slaughtering everything I can in that game. It's great. I think that since there are no achievements and no extra story clips for getting flags and things that I'm not going to worry about them as much. I want to get through this game and play me some Fallout 3!

I didn't enjoy it as much as you, and probably less than Fable 1 actually (I loved Fable 1). I don't know what was going on with my interest. I had fun, but not as much as I thought I would. Perhaps I was in a mood this weekend. I actually mailed the game back to GameFly today, my shortest rental yet.

Then again, I had some major issues with it this weekend, so I couldn't enjoy it fully. I think I got a bad disc that produced graphical issues, not to mention 2 game killing bugs in the first hour, making me restart the game and fail each time. Other bugs weren't game destroying, but bothered me. I thought this game was finished at the end of the summer, as far back as August or earlier? They should have done a bit more QA.

I'll probably pick it up cheap down the road.

Got Silent Hill Homecoming in the mail today and started that. So far it's decent. Supposed to really pick up later on I've read. Great game to play for Halloween.

Baron and I (and two other guys) tried to get the Vidmaster Annual Achievement in Halo 3 and failed spectacularly. We got to the end of the level, but we left our ghosts outside of a door before we fought the Monitor, and we were unable to go back and get them. We still finished the level, after two hours of carnage.

Played some Midnight Club and then stayed up until sunrise playing Dead Space on Friday night (I was enjoying the game and it had nothing to do with the fact that my roommates are all out of town, leaving me in an empty house that makes a lot of noise at night).
Got in some Fable 2 on Saturday until I broke into the amazing world of Farcry 2. Played that Sunday as well followed by a little more Fable 2 before bed.

Fable 2. Then we had a console LAN party on Saturday and played lots of Halo 3, Rock Band, SSBB, and during a lull I played through the first chapter of Dead Space with a crowd behind me. Awesome times.

Sunday was more Fable 2.

You can just post it here in the general section. I'm not sure if these are going to be front paged or not, though.

I rebuilt my system. :D

Dropped in a Gigabyte MB and an E8400 CPU. Decided to go with a clean installation of XP since things were getting a little sludged up in the registry. It's been a couple years since my last clean install and I've played and uninstalled a lot of games since then. Spent most of Saturday afternoon reinstalling games and apps.

Didn't bother backing up any saved games since the only thing that I was really into was The Witcher and I decided to start over since I was only to mid-chapter 2 and I wanted to try a couple of different decisions.

The thing really rips! Did a BIOS update since my E8400 chip uses the E0 stepping and the installed version didn't support that and it was running at 2.8 gHz instead of 3.0.

Started up a new game of Hinterlands and I'm well into Chapter 1 of The Witcher.

Yeah, I thought since I had been overwhelmed with a paper, I thought someone would have picked it up and just start the thread. Now I know why I didn't see you start it :D.

I start the Weekend/Monday thread in GG...then one of the nice mods pick it up and move it to news. So if you tried to post Monday Blues in news...it's not open yet, as you can see . But no special powers here...although i'll gladly kiss ass or something if I have too:p. But just post in GG if you see me falling down on the job again;)

Started up the Night Elf campaign in Warcraft 3, played some Fable, played some SSBM. A good weekend, all in all.
