Trouble with Resistance 2 beta

well for me ... i cant make games and 90% of the time i try to join a game and they say full even when it says 1/8

I can't make games either. And I noticed that rooms fill up very fast. You got to be quick.

Have you checked their forums? Could be a known issue...as for rooms filling up...yah, it happens quickly.

Me too, I never tried but can connect to games easily. My problem isn't connecting it's that it's not very fun.

Not everyone likes fun I guess. I kid. I think co-op is one of the funnest experiences in multiplayer in a while. It's actually something new. Can't wait until I can play it in the actual release so I can reap some benefit from doing so.

What's not fun about it? Getting with a group who works together in co-op really nails that MMO teamwork feel, it's an absolute blast.

I've only played team deathmatch so far...and while at the beginning it's quite chaotic, once you get used to it, it's not bad at all.

I haven't even tried that. FPS DM really just isn't my thing, I'm much more of a Warhawk or Tribes type for that kind of multi.

So far, it's been going into a room and having guys from all angles shoot a huge beast with an insane amount of hit points... then the game ends. I'd like to give it more time to try a few of other modes but I'm really swamped with other games right now. I need to go back to it sometime soon. Btw, where is the regular TDM option? All I'm seeing is co-op, am I overlooking something?

edit, and OMG with the kids singing into the mic and the breathers... where is my friends only chat option???? I had to turn the chat volume all the way down in the options. I'm soooooooo not used to hearing random people while playing online.

Well, then it is a fun game, you just got into a few random bad games. It's organized chaos when you get with people working. Healers stay mostly behind the tanks, and the heavy DDs feed the tanks ammo and take shots when they're safe.

Both play types are there, I'm pretty sure you just select them from the title screen.

For the most part, yeah. If I hadn't just canceled my LIVE sub and had a headset I would've given Halo 3 a shot in co-op. The rise of co-op in games just makes me so happy, I so much prefer PVE co-op online as opposed to DM.

THe game feels a lot different, at least to me. I played through R1 twice and, I can't put my finger on what feels different, it just does. I don't play a ton of FPSs, though, so it may just be me.

Resistance 2 comes out 3 days before Gears 2. ;)
