Hey guys
Right now im so full of head cold, sore throat, Coughing and all that type of stupid cold garbage.
I was wondering what kind of home remedies you guys use so you feel a little less like going downstairs to the workshop and getting the cordless drill....
Right now its a hot cup of Neo citrine for me and a big fluffy warm robe.
So what do you guys do?

Super hot tea all the time. I also like to turn my shower up to melt your skin hot and just breathe in the steam for awhile.
When I have really bad headaches, sometimes using your thumb and forefinger to rub the web/muscle between the thumb and forefinger on the opposite hand helps relieve it. It's supposed to be a migraine home remedy.

yeah i have also heard that if you pinch that same area as hard as you can stand and hold it for a few seconds it has the same wakeup effect as a cup of coffee

Sweet, I'm to die on Christmas 2053. Now I won't have to go shopping that year as my death will be my gift to all my loved ones.

I don't want to derail this thread into another of these. (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?t=1667) ;)
Here's the solution: gargle with warm, salty water. Drain some through your sinuses. Drink warm lemon/honey water. Take vitamin C. Eat chicken noodle soup. Get some sleep.
Then wait.

If I'm around sick people or just feeling i might get sick I'll take Zicam lozenges. Otherwise I'd go with Johan's advice, but throw in gargling Listerine after gargling the warm salty water... burrrnnnnn that sore throat out!
I drink two to four litres of smoothie/fruit juice, dose myself up on painkillers and suck it up. I find that getting yourself into a state where you don't feel like crap, even if it's artificial from the painkillers, and then just doing anything along the lines of going out etc... is the best way to deal with anything like a cold.

I always make hot peppermint tea with a lot of honey mixed in. Soothes as it goes down, lovely to (try) to breathe the steam.
Other than that, vitamin C and go to bed. Sorry you're sick. I hate colds, I'd rather have a broken leg than a head cold.

When I had sore throats, I would grate ginger root into some hot water to make tea. It tastes kinda bad, but it hasn't failed me yet to solve the sore throat problem. Otherwise I would buy and drink a lot of naked juice (http://www.nakedjuice.com/) for a few days and that helped a lot.

Is everyone getting sick this weekend? I got an email from one of my instructors and she canceled class for Monday. This class only meets once a week, so she's pretty sick.

I know a lot of people like to scoff at it (mostly because they hate the taste or smell), but the second I feel sick, I choke down a clove or two of garlic - I've never found anything so effective as that.

Being sick on weekends is the worst. I remember one year I was sick all of Christmas break, and then fine when school started. Thanks a lot God.

Apparently I'll die in 2076. That's not bad.
